Scott McTominay is a defensive midfielder while Donny Donny van de Beek and Fred are more of a center and holding midfielders and I'm sure Ten Hag is already familiar with van de Beek and might have proper plans to integrate him into his plans, adding De Jong will only complement them, I don't think they need to sign another complete defensive midfielder though, I think they need more of players in the front line, rather than the midfield.

Eriksen is more to experience than those bunch of mediocre offensive midfielders in the squad, Bruno Fernandes who plays similar role has no impact in their midfield he is just running around and he is not a good passer of ball, Eriksen will bring his wealth of experience as into the team as a creative midfielder and a good passer of ball, he will also help the youngsters in the team to develop and will assist their attackers in scoring many goals, De Jong plays as a central midfielder of course Erik Ten Hag knows how he will play the duo in the midfield if De Jong eventually sign for Man Utd honestly both player can compliment each other in the team.

He is a free agent though so its kinda understandable that they decided to sign him. He is a good midfielder and on top of that an experienced player that potentially can lead the whole team. If he is fit on the team then he will play, if he is not then he will sit on the bench / play on some tier 2 games like the cup games so its not a biggie as signing an extra one or two free agent players wont matter anyway

That's right, Kunde's Price is definitely something that would be impossible to agree on because considering the price it's absolutely insane for a Defender despite having good potential.
As for the striker problem, it is difficult if you still expect Cristiano Ronaldo at the Stampord Bridge considering that in this case Eric Ten Hag has already spoken that Manchester United will not sell Ronaldo anywhere this season.
