The problem for Madrid is actually that I rarely see them do anything in the short term because they are always busy with conditions where they do it for the longer term like recruiting some quality young players to serve as an investment.

I agree with this, but on the other hand we know that Ancelotti sometimes has different ideas and that's been the case for two seasons now because even though Benzema is still very good, they still have problems in attack when he's not there.
Now if they do bring in Firmino at least it could still be better than nothing but on the other hand this is short-term and won't last long.
If they want to find a new successor for the long term, that would be great but it would mean a replacement because Firmino doesn't qualify.

They fired Potter as soon as Nagelsmann was fired from Bayern Munich. I thought Chelsea would sign Nagelsmann when these events happened, but I was wrong.
