But Kompany did not work with Guardiola as an assistant coach or any coaching staff position. He was a former player but he is not doing good as a manager therefore Bayern Munich are not thinking correctly before hiring him. He might do well at the club but it would not be because of his coaching abilities but because of the players that Bayern Munich has and the mindset of the players at the club. It is fortunate that Chelsea chose Enzo Maresca as its new coach because I see positive developments in the future so that Enzo Maresca wants to show that he is worthy of managing this club. I completely agree with your opinion above. There is no assurance that he will play well under a different coach like what happened with some players were failed on their new clubs. Purchasing this player is a gamble and it's kinda stupid if there will still a club that try to sign him. I would rather spend that large lot of money on a proven world-class midfielder who regularly performs well in any season rather than getting FOMOed with invicible result by leverkusen this season.

Good example would be Xavi Hernandez, played under Pep Guardiola for Barcelona. Erik Ten Hag who worked with him during them days at Bayern Munich. Mikel Arteta who was also assistant manager with Pep Guardiola. Enzo Maresca who I never knew until I did my findings when he was appointed head coach. Vincent Kompany I'd say No! I was just trying to make that comparison with Bellingham as I can't see how Wirtz would contribute as much as Bellingham while Wirtz is already worth more than Bellingham was back then. It's ok if young players reach high market values, but delivering such a season in a hyper performing Leverkusen team is a different thing than going to Real Madrid and doing the same. For Wirtz and Leverkusen it is great, but sometimes I am shaking my head when I see these prices for players.

No doubt that probably the whole team has gained market value, which is correct. But does anyone remember how Mario Götze went through the roof when he was one of the best players in Dortmund at the age of 19 or so? Afterwards he was a nobody when he went to Bayern Munich. He scored the decisive goal at the World Cup and that was his last highlight of the career. It's a risky game for a very young player to leave a running system.
