This has been more and more the case that they are pre-contracting very young players, it is just that depending on the league, some time has to pass by or they have to reach a certain minimum age. But the signings itself have increased significantly in that age category for a long time. The scouting is going on nonstop in almost all countries of the world. At times you can read about 10 years old getting pre-contracted (or at least it happens behind closed doors because I think in some leagues it is not allowed to do that). Wasn't Manchester City the target of investigation for such cases?

It doesn't seem realistic to me that a 16-year-old player is considered Chelsea's most important player. I see this as a transfer for the future. Perhaps in a few years, he'll gradually integrate into the Chelsea squad. However, it's unclear at this point whether he'll adapt to Maresca's system.

Honestly, i would rather spend some millions to the young lad who have big potential instead of wasted like 150 millions to the someone who was a flop in the end. Even if the talent doesn't meet our expectation, it will easy to flip some money.

Honestly, I would agree if it was any other team but when it comes to Chelsea there are two reasons why I find this wrong. First and the most important one is that they already have 5 thousand players, the size of the team is way too huge and because of that I think it is wrong not keep adding on top of it without selling some players. If they were to sell some players and make some money and then start to get some potential players then I would say that is not a bad move, but not right now.

I think another point to make would be the fact that Chelsea keeps failing to get players with potential, they say the player has that potential, but then the player shows up and it is not a great one. So, it's always a questionable move.

Yes i agree to that ademola"s performance has thoroughly deppreciated to an extent no one can even believe its a good players as lookman. Nigeria's lost yesterday could also be traced back to ademola's weakness and inability to capitalise on opponent's weakness to turn the table around, so on seeing his depreciation in performance i think he needs to work on himself so he could do more better in there league game. Although the lost was not only because of his inconsistency but could also be influenced by other factors which could be identified soon
