That is one way to think about, but I remember many players who found the club where they could unlock their potential only to then leave that club to make more money elsewhere and not get along anymore, aka lock their potential again.

Many football players are never satisfied and a few of them value money over their legacy as a player. They change their clubs so many times and while their salary goes up, their career is losing relevance.

But I think many players need time to adapt. They are not like the outstanding superstars. I think it doesn't matter which club Haaland will play for, he would score everywhere. Wirtz is not like that. He isn't that good.

The major reason you guys are bringing this up is because all these players that was signed at  Liverpool during this immediate past summer is not living to expectations, because if they were doing very well already, who would have even be speaking of luiz diaz? No body.
I expected him to improve further at Bayern Munich which he did, and Liverpool are more pained because all their new signings are still struggling, but once they all adapt, they are certainly going to comes good, it's just a matter of time, but before then, if Arne slot does not improve this team very fast, he might lose his job in the process, since time is not in his side.

Shouldn’t we be talking about the league and also the club too having a potential impact on the number that the players produce, my reason for the question is actually that Luiz Diaz is playing in a league where two of the three listed Liverpool players have dominated. In the Bundesliga we all know Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike actually better the stats against Luiz Diaz currently. So I think base on this that the players environment contributes, look at even Alexander Isak who last season was the nightmare to opponents is now struggling to get on the scoresheet.

For me I think that the club the players joined and the current conditions of the club also plays a major role, the player cannot flourish in an environment with problems already. Luiz Diaz is in a Bayern Munich side which is one of the best clubs currently in the league

But I never see him struggling to fit in the Liverpool squad or someone was actually taking his spot, he has been a starter of the club and was still doing well with the club, or maybe he doesn't like what he was seeing at the club that was why he choose to leave the club for Bayern Munich. He went to Germany to improve him self but he became one of the goal machine for the club and the improvement level is better than when he was at Anfield. Liverpool lost a good player and they might find it hard this season.

Luis Diaz has certainly improved a lot since he left Liverpool, and that seems to leaves the question: Was Liverpool's decision correct when they decided to sell him?

I think the Bundesliga is very different from the Premier League, and coincidentally, Luis Diaz's playing style might suit the Bundesliga culture very well. Therefore, Luis Diaz can adapt quickly and is able to show his best performance. Apart from that, with so many great players at Bayern Munich, it seems to have had quite an impact on Luis Diaz's improvement.

If Luis Diaz were still playing for Liverpool this season, I doubt he would have made the same contribution he did for Munich, because during his time at Liverpool, his performance was not consistent, so there is no certainty that he could have performed as well if he had stayed at Liverpool. They want to be able to play in the World Cup, and for players who have very minimal playing time, of course, they want to move to get more playing time and be able to join their national team's squad in the World Cup.
