I am also surprised for the sudden price drop, but my explanation is that probably some few people (or even someone with a great balance) just need to make some cash for another project or even to buy something like a house or something like that. Once these guys end selling the price will probably go up again.

buy something like a house  Grin Grin Grin Grin

...
2) why would somebody with such large sums of BTX(range from 3000 to 77000) not register for airdrops?

...
Every btc address with more than 0,01 btc in it had 50% the amount in btx transfered to the same address on the btx blockchain.
...

In fact, the 77k BTX you are referring to is Bitfinex's Bitcoin cold wallet.
Maybe exchange wallets are also not allowed to receive airdrops. Or maybe its unethical because it isn't their bitcoins anyway.

Bitfinex could make good use of these not utilized BTX's to accept BTX transactions, don't they? Cheesy
Unless they would distribute it to BTC holders when BTX got listed on their exchange.

Well @tortellino, maybe not a house, the idea is just that someone wants to buy something in "the real world" and he wants to make some cash, or he wants to compensate loses in the Spanish stock market and he is selling BTX. I have done sometimes (at a much smaller scale) with the stock markets. BTX market is not very big, so any "big seller" makes the price dump.

I think lot of people are just afraid about the dump, they think better to sell at 10$ than 5$, so they sell, and will regret in few months . . .
Panic sell . . . When all those people will finish sell, BTX will pump

This is how the market work. So many people dump their coins fear of price drop actually contribute to the price drop.
Supply & Demand.

But on the other hand, the drop will stop one day. Than people starts to buy and more people will see price rising and will buy as well. In that moment, when the price goes up and beyond, the only thing that matters is how many BTX u have, not if the price was 5 or 25 USD. Noone knows if price goes up in days, weeks or months, but if you keep your BTX and multiply it by airdrops, that way you can be sure you have more BTX without spending more.

$15 was surely a very good price for anyone looking for entry point, 7% in airdrop today.

What time does airdrop happen? It's still Sunday for several hours where I am at.

Yeah, airdrop has not even begun yet, and price tanked, it's like half what it was two weeks ago. I may sit this airdrop out, no selling this week Cheesy

Can't find too much of a reason for recent selloff, other than the anticipated end of airdrop?  Hoping this can be turned around after airdrop with the addition on to more exchanges.

Maybe that cryptopia selling theory is kidding but, as I said in a previous post, I really do believe that what is happening is just that someone "big" is selling for reasons absolutely aside BTX. Price will recover as soon as this big seller stops selling.

stop blaming craptopia, these airdrops definitly sucks, i dont know why so many people are "happy" to have more coins if the price go down and down, i prefer having 100coins at 25/30$ than 107coins at 10$. this is my opinion, bitcore is not as strong as we think. the reason is cause bitcore dont propose something real, something physical, its just another traders coins. if devs dont put something real in the roadmap btx will die soon. if the goal is to give another traders coins with faster transactions, so many coins almost do the same and people will prefer investing in zcash, bitcoincash or bitcoin. i thought a month ago bitcore was resist well of the correction, now i dont think the same, if the holders dont believe to hold their coins it is a sign that bitcore is not strong as we think. maybe price will down to 8$ in this month. stop these stupide airdrop! or do a reverse one buy selling coins and destroying them for each holders have a better value. such huge airdrop after one year and more is a non sense or only for push the price down.

This is exactly why people are selling. Smartest people understand that if you receive 7% and you lose 20% you are in loss, the others are actually who in future will be called bagholder probably. But this is how the market works.. people who believe in the project will buy, people who don't believe in it will sell. Maybe bitcore will be successfull in future, maybe not, but always remember that until you sell, you earnt zero.

Now I can buy exactly x2 more.
But not sure about coin's future.
cons: just every hill billy can make another BTC clone based on original blockchain
pros: it's needs tons of money to rise it in top 50 coins

Anyway, under $10 it will be to good to resists  Grin

My BTX withdraw is still stucked @ 'processing' stage since 18.02.  Can someone confirm if Cryptopia work?

My withdraw is stuck on processing for a month now, support ticket still unanswered. Avoid this exchange, missed 4 airdrops already.

airdrop should be 1% per day, next week 1% every 2 days, the week after 1% every 3 days and so on... This would stop the panic sellers and inflation

I really don't like that kind of statements, because it devalues and diminish all the work that developers and community has done so far. Cry

It's just not fair to write something like that, especially if you earned something on this coin.
