Hello,
I recently posted this pitch in the BitCore Telegram chat, to a good reception and I was requested to put the pitch within this forum.
I hope everyone gets a look at it:
"I geniunely think that a proper official BitCore wallet from the Core'Devs, an official alternative to that Coinomi application would go down well as a payment system on Android and/or Apple... Right now, as things are, without the Lightning Network necesserily.
Could even make the phone a full on fucking node, since the blockchain is so small.
Something that's robust enough to deal with consumer retail and streamlined enough to deal with paying fast, without hassle.
With a notable focus on receipts and a receipt printing feature!
All smartphones/tablets can now attach receipt printers, I think these mini-printers are relatively inexpensive.
In my mind, as a consumer, when you recieve a paper reciept it kinda' legitimizes a lot of these new alternative payment methods, like Contactless Debit Card Payments, Android Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal etc. You even get proper printable receipts with LocalBitCoins.com.
So you'd essentially treat your BTX node on your laptop/desktop as your bank/ATM, and your phone application as your actual wallet to put coins into.
In my mind, this is a relatively inexpensive and litterally straight to the source method of actually making a coin a full blown payment coin. Because all a shop/business has to do is have the application on a tablet, and a compatible printer.
The application could be used anywhere, gyms, shops, pubs, casinos, stadiums... The moon?"
Thank you,
Jonny
