Can you confirm that control of hashrate is decentralized?
The economic parameters of Bitcoin are well known and unlikely to ever change, there is no leader to authorise any changes, so the interplay between bitcoin price, and hash rate, and PoW difficulty is allowed to work itself out without any interference from any outside forces. Bitcoin could be banned in every country on the planet, and the price would adjust as many stopped using it, and then so to would the total hashing power on the network adjust, and then the difficulty adjusts etc. This mechanism is known to everyone, and set in stone for Bitcoin, so all actors know the 'game', and as long as you accept that a total ban would be as effective as the war on drugs, people will always use bitcoin, and people will always mine bitcoin. This is the magic that satoshi created by disappearing. So, to answer your question, Bitcoin hashrate is decentralized because miners are always free to enter and exit based on their personal profit/loss calculation, today it can be concentrated due to economies of scale, but those miners have zero incentive to break the system that makes them money, and even if they did try, and Bitcoin price dropped to $10 after a crisis of confidence, all that would happen would be new miners with cheaper costs enter the market, and the parameters adjust. At some price people would end up mining on cpu's again, the Bitcoin network doesn't need a particular price to keep it going , it will go on forever, even if it's illegal, because it is useful and nobody can control it. The key is there is no Bitcoin HQ, or leader, or even dev team, we all own and control the Bitcoin network. This is not the same as any other crypto, most have dev teams and leaders who make decisions everyone else has to accept whether they like it or not, and those leaders can be harrassed by nefarious forces at any time. The Bitcoin governance system is perfect, because it doesn't exist, this is the paradox. |

For as much as I Love BTX, I have to agree to this, sighing.......... But we are 100% right that our investment to BTX was a right decision and we will get our result soon. I was hoping for some good news like release of White paper or something sensational after the last air drop... I think price will grow up when btx listed on some big volume exchanges..... I must say that I am disappointed but still hopefully waiting for its betterment and price pumping......!!!!! Because I know that the Devs are smart people who care about this coin....!!! But credibility is very much crucial when investors will be attracted to this coin.... Huge marketing and publicity for the betterment of this coin should be taken.... All of us know the a Ford needs a strong team who can develop new and usefull technologies of this and we have this strong team......!!!!! So what next?  ?? My recommendation is that be patience, hold our coin, gain huge profit at the end of year..... I think that White Paper will not affect the price at any moment. Maybe it will affect very little. But this is one more step in the development of the Bitcore project. The project is slowly but surely moving forward. i totally agree. I mean a whitepaper is mostly useless but for some reason the masses clamor for it. White papers are really more important in my eyes for tokens and the platforms that support them. The attempt to find a currency is really mostly about specs. So just a short whitepaper describing the few changes and innovations would be more than enough. As far as a roadmap goes I think transparency is more important than a formal roadmap. Nobody can plan that far out in this game so really just keeping the community privy to development is key to managing expectations. Just my two satoshi. The paradox of Bitcoin value is everyone accepts there is no one in charge of Bitcoin, so it's impossible for any government or banks to shut it down or control it. The best thing the BTX devs could do for the coins value would be to disappear and make it crystal clear that this coin is fully decentralised and the economic parameters are set in stone, thus making it impossible to compromise. All cryptos with leadership groups can be compromised, Bitcoin is a black swan because Satoshi set it free. A happy middle ground is needed. Full decentralization of development, as seen with Bitcoin, means a lack of funding and a lack of direction. They have been unable to adapt to the changing environment. If anything, I believe that is the greater risk in the two choices. Really a good set of governance would solve the majority of this problem. It would allow the users to impact the development of the coin and really have a say but it would also allow the developers to guide the coin in a meaningful way. The balance between the two is absolutely key as far as I see it. I think the best option for all crypto projects is a gradual move from total control by founders and dev teams to governance by the user community, which is a very difficult thing to pull off, but the ones that do will survive, and the ones with very obvious leadership groups will end up struggling to compete with corporate crypto projects. At some point the founders and core devs have to let their projects live on their own, like parents allowing their kids to grow up and move out, this is what Satoshi did, and it's why we're all here. If he had stayed he would have been compromised in an infinite number of ways. I definitely don't think it was easy for him to let go, but it made Bitcoin impossible to control, and that is why it's a black swan, even though governance is very difficult now, and tech progress is almost impossible. |

I dont disagree with your premise entirely. However, Bitcoin is next to useless for anything and if you don't think it is being controlled then you are extremely naive. The terrible distribution alone makes it susceptible to all sorts of manipulation. The top 1% of addresses have 92% of the Bitcoin and that is a huge issue. I agree 100%, Bitcoin is very flawed in many ways, and a coin like BTX is far superior in nearly every way, but the lack of an unambiguous leadership team makes Bitcoin unstoppable, and that means people can trust that it will be around in some form or other forever, even if the price drops by 90%. How many alt coins in the top 100 are leaderless, I can't think of any off hand, some have anonymous devs, but do any actually have no clear leadership running them? It would be a courageous decision for devs to just walk away and let the community take control, but it has happened before, the original Qora dev announced he was quitting for personal reasons and literally left the project and has never returned Qora definitely suffered as a result, BUT, amazingly it has survived with community members stepping up at different times to 'do things', so qora is unambiguously leaderless and thus fully decentralised and still survives, so it is possible. |

I agree with you. The project has been quite successful with strong and prestigious partners. But I think the expansion with many partners beyond the scope of the country to protect well the goal of global development.

Real question is who would throw out BTX sticker , maybe someone who dumped BTX recently Sounds like it was /on not /in the bin ! Indeed. Someone taped the sticker on a trash can. There are much more discussions, suggestions , brainstorming, crying, shouting, complaining, optimism are going on for recent price drop than anytime before..
A larger part is complaining about the Lack of Marketing... They think it has failed to attract new investors or institutional grade investments...
Considering this above issue I have listed some innovative and traditional ways to market and advertise Bitcore_BTX to reach the mass people leading to mass adoption.. 1. Sponsor Avenger Series and become a blockbuster coin... The whole world will know about it.. Then Binance /Bittrex will list it for free..   2. Free Paint on houses, offices in major cities and advertise btx on those buildings..   3. Make Partnership with Lamborgini, so people can know about the word - "Bitcore Lambo"  4. Sponsor KFC and Advertise it as - BTX Elite Merchant   5. Build and place some street Banners that will focus btx as future world currency  6. BTX Team can create new product like BTX Paint to advertise Bitcore...with a slogan - "Red lasts longer than green "  7. To target female class BTX devs can release some special limited edition pink laptops...  8.To target celebrities, BTX can manufacture some special soaps that will be delivered only to the top world class celebrities... (Trumps' girlfriend can get one)  9. To attract average class people,, Bitcore can focus on environment and dream friendly mosquito coil... As most them never heard about btx they will atleast be familiar with this name.. Eventuality will create awareness..  10. BTX cold drinks/beers with some slogan like - "Buy, Drink and Forget"  11. Sponsor German football team as most of the Germans don't know about Bitcore.. This will bring immediate result and the result can be huge...   12. What the hell ! That's extremely unethical and a strategy only used by worst of the shitcoins. In he end if it is really a good coin then nobody can stop it from rising and if it's not then it is bound to fail no matter how much you market it. Also you don't need to partner with Lamborghini to get a pink lambo (asking them to release a limited edition will be extremely hard). A better strategy would be to get used lambo and custom paint it with those colours and just take a pic. It will circulate all over the internet. They can use it as promo vehicle too. |
