I almost got a heart attack this morning. I got into my wallet and saw no balance next to the left of VERI. Even better, all of a sudden VERI was not listed as one of the custom tokens. 

I added it again and all was good. 

I came right at Virwox in terms of payment via PayPal, swung the balance over to Poloniex, exchanged it for ether and then sent it to my wallet... there was 20% less to buy VERI tokens, but all said and done: I am a happy camper! 

P.S. I don't know who is with me, but I intend to hang onto my tokens like shit to a horse blanket.

I am still wondering why this project does not have that many post in comparison to other ICOs.
Whatsoever, I am in, because the project sounds interesting to me.

I am just a newbie (my 2nd ICO), but the whole process to get the tokens was complicated. However I learnt a lot.

I'm sure that there are many reasons, but the biggest ia properly lack of knowledge and experience.
That said is there an option for cold storage?  Any heads up would be good. Likewise what exchanges are open on this?

For cold storage any Ethereum address will work. Just send them from the myetherwallet to that address. You will have to import the private keys into a token aware wallet in the future if you want to spend them.

Since veritaseum released VERI as an ERC20 token, this will work on distributed as well as central exchanges. If you have an account on a main exchange open a support ticket to have VERI added.

getting a lot of noobs like myself into this VERI and am racing today to get them in.  Kind of an investment in faith for them in my call @ this point, sure hope I don't let them down. 

As is said, 1st time crypto investors will later reflect that they should have gone deeper right off the kicker, and I am not making that "mistake" lol.

I cant get this contract to work, i cant do this ICO, it just says this when i try:   there is a bad jump destination

Only a few hours left for the ICO.

Bunch of transactions rejected. I looked at some, the gas price seemed low. Instructions say 80,000 for gas. If you're sending 10 ether over bump that up! I suggest doubling to 160,000 on gas which equals 20 cents approximately. The ethereum network maybe getting overloaded. increasing your gas will give your transaction priority!!!

Update, i'm wondering if this is a timing issue and not GAS. the ether stats page looks ok.

Is the ICO finished? I thought there were at least 5 hours left but the timer has been taken off the website

I've been trying all day but couldn't get the transaction to go through. The ICO finished at 14:30 EST, although there was some confusion as the timer was incorrect.

Please re-open the ICO for a further 5 hours so those who were affected by the confusion can get their transactions sent through.

I guess you can still buy them this way. From the instructions:

We have set an alternative address to accept ETH in exchange for Veritas (VERI), where instead of going through the more involved automated process below, you just send the ETH of the amount you wish to convert to VERI tokens. You MUST send the Ether from a ERC20 compliant wallet! If you don't know if you're wallet is compliant then use Myetherwallet. You run a strong chance of not getting your tokens if you send ETH directly from exchanges such as Coinbase, Shapeshift or Bittrex. Nkw...
Simply send ETH to the manual VERI purchase address at 0x47aFaE2eB056630DBdE374Cc7E79C69D9120C372. We will then send you the corresponding VERI tokens to the same address that you sent the ETH from. Please allow 48 to 96 "business" hours (not including weekends and holidays) for the turnaround.
