Some years ago I was mining just for fun. In this area every day a new shitcoin was born. In the last weeks I found lots of wallets, most are empty jused just for mining, some have coins inside, some coins I knew, but in the following list are only coins I don`t know what happened to them. In the last years I know some coins became renamed/rebranded. Does anyone know if any of the following coins got rebranded? Or ist this just a trashlist? Here we go: 666coin activecoin albocoin amigacoin anonymouscoin apexcoin apollocoin ascentcoin auscoin avcoin axis bankcoin bcatcoin bitcash bitcoinx11 bitmonero bitnote bitpopcoin blitzcoin bongger bonuscoin boomcoin bosscoin bwincoin cakecoin cantorcoin carpediemcoin chatcoin civilisationcoin coffeecoin coin coin2 colorcoin cornerstonecoin crown crowncoin cryptoeagle cryptoescudo cryptopowers deepcoin devcoin dinosaurcoin doomcoin dreamcoin dvoracoin eccoin ecurrency eirecoin eoncoin fbcoin finercoin flashcoin fourohfourcoin freebiescoin godcoin granitecoin guinea happycoin helveticacoin honorcoin houseofcoins hyper I0coin judgecoin killercoin kimdotcoin legendarycoin libertycoin limecoinlite logos lotuscoin lovecoin macdcoin macrocoin magicoin magneticoin maiacoin martxcoin mazacoin multibit nanolite newyorkcoin nud opeccoin orangecoin payprocoin pesa pionnercoin purecoin recyclingcoin rightcoin rockcoin roxcoin rupayacoin russiacoin sapphire shacoin sharecoin shibecoin slimcoin socialcoin stealthcoin summercoinv2 supercoin surge swisscredit techcoin theballcoin trustcoin ultimatecoin universitycoin vanadiumcoin venividivici wankcoin watcoin wificoin wintercoin x13coin xtracoin yescoin zimstake OMG I cant believe I did this. Realistically, I don't think anyone is going to read through that list, let alone tell you what happened to a coin they remembered.
You should probably start with looking them up on coinmarketcap or here on the forum (via google).

I'm certainly not going to do your work for you to list the status of all those. But from looking through the list, I see a lot that are completely dead, some that haven't had anything happen to them for a couple years at least but the bag holders are keeping it limping along with dreams of the dev actually doing something, and others that have been relaunched in some fashion.

Check out Yobit, because if any of those coins still have breath in them, they'd be listed there. And if they're dead, it's a good chance no other exchange will have them listed either. I couldn't tell you; they all look pretty shitty to me, so my guess is that they did indeed die. No offense, but it's just as well that they did. There are way too many of them in existence.

Precisely what The Pharmacist said.
Yobit has a lot of dead coins on their exchange although it'll be rare for you to find any dead coins on there with a functional withdrawal/deposit gateway. So if you are betting on the coin being revived, then don't send any coins to yobit, their customer service is really crap and will likely just take your coins.
There are community efforts to revive coins although most of these attempts are futile.

That's quite a list.
On quick scan it looks like 99% are dead, maybe 98%.

I get it, mix Crown into a big list of shitcoins as a subconscious suggestion to dump it.
Nice try.

98% of them are dead and you should check coinmarketcap for alive ones. Even yo-bit has some old coins, I dont think any exchanger or trader will accept these coins. Its like altcoins are made to scam people like Hyip Sites.

Thx @all for your answers, I`ll take a look at yobit... keep them all these are rare coins that will one day be of interest perhaps to antique crypto collectors especially if you have the windows qts too.
...but I think this is what I´ll do in the end. I get it, mix Crown into a big list of shitcoins as a subconscious suggestion to dump it.
Nice try.

1. Does anyone know if any of the following coins got rebranded? 2. Or ist this just a trashlist? 3. Anyone know what happened to that coins? All dead? 1. DYOR 2. Mostly 3. Yes, no. As of March 2016 (when I abandoned the effort as unprofitable [1]) ... a. Speak softly and carry a big dataset. b. an invoice is on its way to you [1] (see what I mean?).Crowncoin and Slimcoin are both listed on an altcoin cryptocurrency exchange, that's all the contemporary data I can contribute. [2] Cheers Graham [2] Edit: Deepcoin is being currently being scoped for further development.

Wow. Thanks a lot, Graham! Your answer is much more than I expected although it`s a little sad that almost all of the coins are dead. But I´ll keep them, who knows what will happen..? By the way, cool website you have.

Well, "extant" doesn't mean "dead" Slimcoin, the only one I know from this list, has a new announcement thread and is actively developed (thanks to Graham ).

Sadly its still a scam coin. Weren't you a dev of stealthcoin? Your username says so yet you accuse them of being a scam. There are dev that really has no intention of doveloping a coin but just wanted to dump the millions they hold after its listed on yobit and left for dead. Most of these developers even provide coin creation up to this point.

A more important thing to know is who are the developers of these coins and are they as astute as the core developers of Bitcoin? There are some developers of altcoins who did show this kind of astuteness. Imho the Monero devs are among the best out there, with some of them qualified to be core devs of BTC.
