What is OrangeCoin?

Welcome to Orangecoin, an innovative and adaptive new age cryptocurrency available to everyone. With its ease of use, security and developing program, Orangecoin looks to take the lead in crpytocurrency progress and diversity.

Orangecoin  is a unique combination of POW distribution with POS minting to secure the network using a Proof of Stake method for moving transactions around the network. This occurs by rewarding users to hold coins in their Orangecoin wallet for a period of 14-28 days. Interest earned in the first year is set at 20% per annum, decreasing yearly.

Rewarding users for holding their coins for long term investments with strong percentage returns, this process is called Minting and this is how the Proof of Stake network works.

Orangecoin Masternodes are in development for the use in Orangecoin network to help offer anonymous transactions and reward users for doing so. Each Masternode will require 2000 OC to enable, with full server guides to be released prior to code and client release.
If you plan on running an Orangecoin Masternode it is recommended to have experience in network security and administration.

When will the code be released?
When we are 100% confident in the code it will be released to the public. We are ensuring this is done right.
How do I set up a Masternode?
Full instructions will be given prior to launch.
How many coins will I get?
In the first year there will be around 1 million OC given to Masternodes. Depending on the number of Masternodes depends on the rewards.
When will I get paid?
The current adaption is looking at 30 days, this may change.
Where are the extra coins coming from?
Total OC still remains at 200 Million. The coins will be taken of the total years from 46 down to 41.
What’s so special about OC Masternodes?
