I was staking RAIN for a month and it has given me good rewards. Today I got my first conflicted transaction. So I wonder how often does it usually happen?
It some time happens to i because someone beat me to the block. That why this happen some time, i get 6 of them in 2 months i stake rain but it make up for it because on other day i might stake 5 times so it not really matter when you get this.

Yep that is what I think as well so today I loaded up on another 1k RAIN to add to my stack from some profits I made trading another coin. I have yet to sell any RAIN even when the price went up over 3k sats as I think in the long term the price will go a lot of higher and while we wait we can earn some good staking rewards which mount up fast. I would say that in the past month I have earned close to 5k RAIN in stakes alone and since I got in, its close to 10k RAIN just from stakes. So like I said it does start to add up fast and before people know they have a large stack.

Hi all,
I'm new at staking and after some days of message reading on Telegram's POS Coin Community, I decided to choose rain as my first coin to stake. But I'm having a hard time finding my way in the jungle. I've installed the wallet and downloaded the bootstrap, but I've no clue on what to do with the latter.
So, I guess, that's my first question: what to do with the bootstrap file?
Also, the wallet stops syncing after 10, maximum 20 seconds, and a message appears telling that if date and time settings of the computer aren't correct, the wallet cannot sync. But time and date are correct (at least: they indicate the time and date as is in my location)
Second question: what to do to get the wallet syncing properly?
My two (at the moment?) last questions are:
Do I need to do anything else besides following up on your suggestions on above questions?
How much should I invest to get reasonable stakes?
Thanks in advance, and I hope one day I'll be able to return the favor by helping out some other noob.
Cheers!

This one seems solved, actually. After posting this message here, I noticed the time it was registered on differed from the time setting on my computer. Apparently, working with Windows after using Ubuntu for ages brings about some issues ... ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

In my opinion this is the best PoS coin on the market today.

The price going down has actually helped me to accumulate a lot more rain in the past few days as I have been buying with the profits I've made from trading other coins. Still staking almost daily so I can't complain but I would like to see the dev in here more often keeping us updated on where the coin is heading. Has the whitepaper even been released yet? Its been months now since there was talk of it being released.

I have a question.
Should I be recombining my stake inputs into a single input after every reward? I have almost 18,000 rain coins staking, split between 2 inputs about 9000 each currently. My wallet seems to of done that for me, as I never did that.
Is this something I should be doing? Should I split my inputs into multiple, or should I be combining... or should I just leave it alone and the wallet works it out?

On 18k I think you should just leave them in 9k blocks as you will have a good chance at staking more often. As one stakes you still have the other 9k block ready to stake instead of one block of 18k which then stakes and you have no other coins ready for staking. That is why I have 8x 10k blocks currently as one or two might stake and I have the other 6 or so waiting to stake. I hope this makes sense.
