20k is enough to start earning stakes every 1 to 3 days depending on the network weight.
Yes the more someone has the better and more chance to stake often but I think 20k is good enough to earn a few thousand coins a month.
I have 150k RAIN. I receive staking rewards everyday 8-20 times, approximately 1000-2500 RAIN.

So, an investment worth at the moment less than 2BTC makes a passive income, which would be good enough to live comfortably for most of the people in the world (for some of them it's a fortune). Nice. I'm gonna do the same.
The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Hey, guys, i've recently started to stacking RAIN. I'm a bit confused  Huh
I'm not asking how much i'll get.
I'm asking how to do it correctly?  Grin
I have 30k+ coins (those were sent with a multiple transactions to my wallet).

1)Should i send in one transaction all those coins to my wallet (or let's say 3x10k or 20+10k)?
2)Should i keep all coins on one address or on multiple adresses?
I'll be much appreciated for your answers. Roll Eyes

Still part of the Corechannel here.

They are working on a Whitepaper and Roadmap over there.
You cant rush these Things.
Maybe this Week or over in the next ones.

I would suggest:

- Roadmap
- Whitepaper
- Overhaul of the Client

For now its showtime on BTC anyway.
So simply stake n accumulate more Rain guys.
Dont fight the Market just buy smart.
Should be rewarded nicely in the End.

Are you in the slack channel? If so could you get a new invite link for us? I'd like to join, but all the links are expired. : (

The sum of all the stakes per day of approximately 1000-2500 RAIN
And that's why I love RAIN !  Cheesy

Hi there,

I've recently started staking rain as my first pos coin. Just dipping my toes in the pool, sort of speak, to see how it all functions. This morning, I received my first stake and that felt mighty swell.

When I checked just now, however, my weight had dropped tenfold, and my next stake should arrive in over 100 days!

Any idea whether this is normal? Is their something I should do?

Appreciate the help...

Guffer.

There is no real product or? Those weather stations wont come, this is pretty unlikely and technical dumb to put that on a blockchain.

How long ago did you fund the wallet? With that amount, expect a maturing time of about 6-7 days.

No problem... all here to learn.

On the bottom left of your wallet are some pictographs. The second from the right is a cloud. park your pointer over it and a little info frame will pop up, telling you your weight, total weight of the pool, and the expected number of days for your coins to mature.

Since I'm new to pos as well, I'm checking that frame several times a day. In relation to my own question here above, it seems now that after receiving a stake, the counter (for lack of a better word) is reset, resulting in a ridiculously long maturation time. However, in the course of an hour or so, it dwindled from 123 to 81 days. So I guess, it'll end up again at around 5-6 days. I've got invested about the same amount as you, you see...

Cheers,
G.

Wallet is taking forever to sync  how can i speed up the process?

If this is your first install you can speed it up by using the bootstrap file on the Condensate website. Just go to the wallets section, and then download #5 titled Bootstrap, and this should speed it up for you.

Do you think that sell wall at 1140 is fake?  Wouldn't it be great to be a billionaire and buy up good coins that others may be trying to manipulate?  I really think if someone with some money did a real press PR campaign about staking wallets, good POS coins would skyrocket.

Hey guys, just wanted to give you an official RAIN roadmap update.
In the last 2 months, we have built a small, but solid core of RAIN Crafters who wish to help bring RAIN to the forefront of innovative Blockchain implementations. Besides this, we have been actively working on gathering requirements and ideas for the Rain Meter IoT devices that we begin prototyping in Q4.
Focus has been on finding the proper parts to build a first prototype while taking into account multiple environmental scenarios. We are in contact with an engineering firm in India who is already implementing a simple Python based Aqua Management System, running on a Raspberry Pi with advanced water measurement.
Austin, one of the core team members, will meet them in India, Q2 of 2018, helping them install an IoT RAIN Meter, empowering them gain oversight of water pollutant contributors in India.
Please read the plan of their implementation [1] and this is the plan we are expanding upon! We will introduce more specs in the next months. We will officially have a first working DIY Prototype Project available for the international market Q1 2018!

We are actively working on polishing the Whitepaper for some RAIN momentum before wrapping up 2017. Expect to see some early prototypes and sketches of the IoT rain devices, some community work and an RAIN Reward Estimator promotional event. All of this before 2017 comes to a close
Good things take time and we are putting in effort to make RAIN a successful and truly innovative Blockchain implementation. This is where the future begins!
For those of you who are still here, we thank you for your support and hope you know that all is well!
