I do not think that the reduction in the percentage of POS to attract new players, but rather will reduce the number of those who hold the rain now. Maybe try to work with ETH, may be of interest to many, and possibly merge the two projects into one, for example boat+rain=storm (this is just an example)

The whitepaper does look good, now we just hope the dev can make it all happen. I'm not in the slack group so I hope he has a couple of other people helping him out on the project as that is what RAIN needs. Then hopefully the developments come and RAIN starts to recover again back up to 1k sats where it belongs. I tweeted this whitepaper out to my followers as I know there are a lot of people in RAIN who follow me.

I can promote your project on X to my 100k+ followers for a reasonable price. Just DM me for prices.

Also, none of this works at all without GPS integration... And if there is one thing on earth that everybody measures for 100 years it's rainfall... Plus there is no explanation of why putting primitive weather stations on a blockchain creates value. Dev should switch to tracking tornadoes and rebrand the coin Twister. Would be nice to see an intelligent, monthly blog on Medium

What is the minimum amount for stake?
you can have as low as you want, but the stake will be more difficult, it's around 10% each month

But I like your idea for Twister. Or Tornados!

how many RAIN you need nowadays for a daily reward? what about weekly?
and is it possible to check POS difficulty chart on how it grew each day/week/month?

The difficulty depends on how many wallets are staking and the coins they have. I think for daily reward, you need to have 100 000 or more.

Yes I would say at least 50k to 100k RAIN to stake daily now as the network weight has increased and remains at around the same weight daily. If people want they could take advantage of the recent dip in price to stack some more RAIN and build on their own staking weight which I did. I'm really hoping that 2018 is the year we start to see some of the developments that were mentioned in the whitepaper. Happy New Year everyone!

I am staking with ~30k and i get stakes every ~2days..so 50/100k is probably what you need for daily stakes.

Thanks for your answer Nier, but unfortunately I've tried many things, many times, and it doesn't work. I have to say that I'm trying to do this on a Raspberry, so the compatibility must be horrible... I've tried even with other Rasp friendly wallet ... doesn't work at all ... Three days without working. Although it sounds like the perfect thing to do, I mean, energy friendly, affordable, crypto should be interested in this kind of solution for their wallet, especially when it comes to PoS. Anyway, if you have any other solution ... I take it !

True story..i tried myself a few couple of hours/days..in the end i managed to run 1/4 wallets on my pi. Now I switched to the free AWS version. I can run 2 or 3 wallets there although with 3 it is hell to do anything

Thanks guys ! For the moment the Rasp is off, I was so desesperate that I put it back in its frame. If I remember well, I had multiples errors in my tries, like language not compatible (was in french though ... sorry), autogen.sh not found, condensate-qt error 1 ... I know it's not really precise, I know the world of linux for that. But I must admit that it gets on my nerves. I tried everything described in many different sites without any success. I think that the armhf system is not suited to support even the linux/ubuntu/debian client. Others Rasp client were not working. I might try again ... later ... when I'll be cooled (Sorry for the mistakes ... a french is speaking)
