Rain is slowly getting back to where it once was but it is going to take some time. Is the dev returned @vella85 or you guys just took the initiative of bringing this to life?

No the dev has not returned, he has had a lot of time to come back and many of us have sent him messages but we never got a reply so the community on discord decided to do a community takeover which happened over a month ago now. Like I have said this will take some time to get back to where it once was but I believe we now have the team to make Rain a top coin. The discord is the place to be as that's where most of the updates will be posted first.

What a pitty. Maybe community should try to fork that coin to develop on their own. Anyone interested in that?

No I don't believe there will be a fork as the new dev team are currently working with the coin created from the original dev. I'm not sure if the new dev team will have a fork sometime down the road but for now they are happy with the current coin and working with it to develop rain meters. We should be expecting some news very soon on the discord channel so be sure to join.

I believe it is around 8 hours before they become mature for staking. Depending on the amount you have staking will also depend on when you will stake, for example if you have 10k staking then you should expect a stake within 3 to 5 days. The more you have the more chance you have at staking and its best to have them in 15k to 20k blocks.

We got a mini updated from one of the devs on the discord. The team is working on the rain meter as the parts have been received and also there currently working on a new whitepaper which I hope won't be long before it is released to the public. At least we are seeing things move in the right direction unlike before we Rain was at a stand still.

At the moment we are working diligently on our RAINmeter and a new whitepaper, which takes a lot of time. An exact date for the completion of the RAINmeter is currently (yet) unknown. As soon as our new whitepaper has been published, a 30-day test phase of the RAINmeter (internally) follows.


When the internal alpha test has been successfully completed and possible errors have been eliminated, a release date for the RAINmeter is published. At this date we will also publish all the details of the RAINmeter.

You can be sure that all of us in the RAIN team have a lot of heart and soul to work on this project, but also to say that a good, stable project takes time.

There are always updates posted on the current state of things, so you get a good overview of what's to come.

Hello, yes there are online staking pools where you can send your coins and the pool stakes for you such as Staking Lab which is one I know that stakes Rain for people. Its always best to try and stake your own coins as we never know what can happen with 3rd party services like Staking Lab. I have used them and have been paid every time but like I said its best to stake in your own wallet if you can. No you don't need to have your computer on 24/7 as you need to build staking weight so if you open the wallet say every 12 hours and leave it open for at least a few hours you could stake depending on the amount of coins you have staking.

Yes I do believe that more information on the developments should be posted in here however I try and keep everyone updated in here as best I can when there is news to report. I actually think that now we have a new dev team working on Rain, that a new ANN be created as its a fresh start. I think they are waiting for the new website to be complete and then we could see a new ANN which will be more active with news updates.

Good to hear for the new ANN. I honestly prefer bitcointalk over discord...just because i feel like it is much easier to find what you are looking for.
However,  will the rainmeter be a preassembled product or will there be the possibility to construct it yourself based on a target design from original version?
