Well prepare another bag of popcorn and go to the next coin launch and watch the miracle. We don't need trollers here!

how many coins can be mined with a regular intel i5 machine?

Most likely something like zero. You'll need a lot more cores than that 2-4 what you can find in an i5.

Was it really a launch? For me it seemed like a series of beta test, and I was surprised when early this week I noticed that it's live.
BTW this launch was a victory day parade if you compare it to ELA, EMU, GMC and a couple of more coins as now it looks like a working thing Smiley.

That's right. I have 2 E5 but can't mine a block in 3 days.

If you are mining there is a trade off on cpu threads between the node and the miner. If you have too many threads on the miner then the node may not have enough cpu to keep connections and chain in synch (and vice versa) you need to experiment a little to get the right balance.

Are you saying you're not smart?

I agree with that assessment.  The "rich" an "elite" part, not so much...

Are there any exchange where I can buy Bismuth? Also are there any standalone miner?

At present, there is no pool, no exchange! Wait patiently! Maybe you can buy from miners!

You can start the miner with a lower CPU priority and then you can have as much miner threads as you want. E.g.

nice -n 20 python miner.py

It seems 8 cores is not enough power to find blocks anymore. Only chance is with a pool but there are none yet, or to rent some powerful vps servers. But Might be better off just buying coins at this point. Good luck.
