Can bitcoin improve the economy of a country?

Today many countries accept bitcoin as a virtual currency, is it because bitcoin is so high that they think bitcoin can change the country's economy, or because the country has many bitcoin users already?

For me yes it can, but it depends how you understand improvement. If you expect it to make the country richer, better situated economically, compared to the rest of the world, and bitcoin can rise the economy of the country it can decrease the statistic of unemployed people.

I think the government will not see the good effect that bitcoin provides to their communities. in fact many governments actually provide a rules to ban on bitcoin ? whereas bitcoin plays a good role in the economy of a country. of course there is a political reason in it

That's true. Bitcoin could possibly decrease the number of unemployed people in a country, it will be a chain effect, if few are jobless, then lesser funding from the government, and the money can be used to other projects.

Too bad that bitcoin could only employ those who can afford to pay for the electricity and internet, the rest below that, they won't benefit from bitcoin.

Yes, it can by legalizing bitcoin in ones country. Bitcoin will gives an opportunity to an individual to earn money while working by joining campaigns or signing airdrops. It could mininize unemployed people. But,  when you think that the improvement of ones country is all about stoping poverty and making your country rich among all countries.  I think it is impossible. But,  the improvement of our country rely on its people.

I think it depends on how a country tolerate bitcoin within their nation because as we all can see, there are some countries banning bitcoin. They have their own reason why they are doing it. We should also consider the fact that bitcoin is sometimes being used for some illegal transactions. On that process, bitcoin is improving the economy of a certain country with the help of it's users.

Yes, you're right. The only way to make bitcoins contribute in a country is to use it as a usual currency like fiat. If all of the merchant accept bitcoins as a payment. They use bitcoin to buy product or services in which could be obviously contribute with the GDP plus the taxes from those products (but still, it depends, more factors to consider)

No i dont think that bitcoin will help the economy of a country because its use has been put into question.
Transaction costs are very high so that they can be widely accepted and used.
But I think that in the future, a coin will surely appear, which will be able to help the economy of the country who use that coin.

I am not in favor of regulating bitcoin at all because in this way people will lose their interest in bitcoin. Bitcoin are the only digital currency which is known around the world and just for one reason that it is decentralized and people feel really very secure in using this currency. The interference of government in this currency will simply ruin its future. Governments are all the time looking for snatching public wealth.
