What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.?

I've just thought about this for a moment but, if we want bitcoin to get more popularity, attention or acceptance would it be nice to make some advertisement about it on T.V.? I don't know if in other countries they advertise bitcoin but in my country, I haven't seen one. How do you think advertising bitcoin will affect the people? Any thoughts?

Advertising bitcoin is really beneficial to all of us who are using bitcoin at this point of our lives. This is how simple this is. If we advertise bitcoin its demand will probably go up and if the demand goes up then the price of it or its value will also go up that's the logic behind expressing bitcoin to the world. A new type of currency that works ALMOST everywhere(except for some countries that bans  bitcoin). But if this thing really happen it means more job for us and bitcoin is formally legal to the whole world.

Bitcoin has been mentioned by every TV channel many times already but the amount of time devoted to it is negligibly small compared to other news that's why most people forget about it the next minute. There are videos on Youtube advertising Bitcoin and everyone can watch them but even the most popular video about Bitcoin has less than 8 million views because most people just don't care, they think they don't have time for exploring such things.

Like what I said before you don't advertise payment methods especially currencies, no fiat currency has ever done that why Bitcoin? The only thing that television will contribute to us is the media attention, having a good news like a country accepting Bitcoin or a sudden price growth of it will give consumers the attention we need for them. And let us hope that attention will equal to an increase in demand.

It goes without saying that more attention will increase demand and thus the price will go up. That's why all the news, not only positive ones, are important and ironically sometimes the haters of Bitcoin are helping it to spread.

Publicity is a great idea. It will surely help bitcoin to gain more attention and interest. It might also help people by giving them a brief idea about bitcoin and its benefits. But we all know that bitcoin is still not legalized in many countries. In fact, bitcoin is still not accepted by many countries and this will surely be a hindrance for bitcoin to be publicized through television advertisement. We can use social media (Facebook, Twitter and etc.) but I also think that a TV advertisement will be much helpful.

If ever that a TV advertisement will be allowed to be used in introducing bitcoin then that only means that crypto currencies are being recognized and accepted by many countries in this world.

those countries who have already turn bitcoin as legal currency, they can use to advertise bitcoin on TV.  even those countries where there are private channels and we pay for the advertisement of bitcoin they may also start advertising bitcoin on their TV channels. but i think for the tme being the social media advertisement is the best and cheep way of introducing bitcoin in our society.

Not a bad idea to try something like this. I know it could be done because bitcoin sponsored a college football bowl game a few years ago.

This is a great idea. People will pay more attention if they see something attractive. Television is a good medium to advertise bitcoin quickly. This advertising will attract the attention of more people.However, the money to advertise bitcoin is not cheap.

Of course if it is accepted in one country then they will advertise it since they take tax from the merchants and would profit more if the usage will become bigger.
They might also do some movements just for the sake of filling up their own wallets.
But that day wont come just yet or maybe not of they wont allow bitcoin to succeed into giving a free currency for the people. Which I doubt they will.

Of course, any type of advertising whether broadcasted on TV, social media....etc will affect Bitcoin in an advantageous way. However, we have the obvious problem of cost. Who is going to pay for an advertisement on TV? That is why we are trying very hard to achieve mainstream media attention. We are slowing achieving this goal, but we still have a lot to go.

Of course, any type of advertising whether broadcasted on TV, social media....etc will affect Bitcoin in an advantageous way. However, we have the obvious problem of cost. Who is going to pay for an advertisement on TV? That is why we are trying very hard to achieve mainstream media attention. We are slowing achieving this goal, but we still have a lot to go.

There has been some mainstream media attention, but mostly on the negative side, in the earlier years when bitcoin is being linked with corruption and illegal activities. But this should not serve as a hindrance for people to educate others on what bitcoin really is for. You are right with the big cost that advertising entails, and it will be more practical to just spread the word by other medium like in social networking sites, blogs, forums, rather than sticking to traditional media.

What is the point in advertising about Bitcoin, when it is already receiving so much coverage from the media. I admit that a lot of this coverage is negative in nature, but ordinary people are getting more and more interested in the crypto-currency. The negativeness is also gradually declining. BTC is no longer regarded as a currency for drug purchases and ransom.

We do not need to advertise bitcoin on T.V. because a lot of media give a news about bitcoin and I think many people already know what is crypto currency but only a little of their interest in bitcoin or crypto currency. what we need to do is we tell all know the benefits of bitcoin.

Who would pay for this? A campaign solely funded by donations may work, but it won't change the real problem that bitcoin faces trying to go mainstream. People are uneducated about it and think it is either illegal, unsafe or a scam. Advertising on TV of all places may not even help this.

It requires a lot of money to get a tv ad spot. And who is going to pay for it ?
I think the big bitcoin companies step in and have their ads aired, marketing their services as wells as promoting bitcoins too.
Or a better way to organize some event and get media's attention.

If I don't have bitcoin business why the hell will I pay a lot of money for this? Of course if I amn't rich billioner and big fan of bitcoin. Maybe you can't see such advertisement on cnn and very popular tv but I have seen some btc adverts from banks. Also it will be logical if we'll see same action from coinbase and popular exchangers.
