I've just thought about this for a moment but, if we want bitcoin to get more popularity, attention or acceptance would it be nice to make some advertisement about it on T.V.? I don't know if in other countries they advertise bitcoin but in my country, I haven't seen one. How do you think advertising bitcoin will affect the people? Any thoughts?
Bitcoin is not a car or a TV, bitcoin is a currency, when was the last time you saw the US dollar being announced in TV? Never, right? So why we should do the same with bitcoin? Also who is going to pay for such an expensive endeavor, I think it is better to keep going as we have, let bitcoin expand through the Internet from mouth to mouth advertising, it is a slow process but it is the cheaper one. |

Advertising bitcoin is a sure thing way of promoting it to the world. The percentage of people who uses internet to discover this kind of technology is really small compare to those who watch television. The only problem here is who will fund this kind of advertisement? True that the more people knows about bitcoin the higher the demand will eventually be. And everybody who owns bitcoin will really profit from that. But I don't know anybody who owns bitcoin that will spend his money just to advertise it on TV. Group of companies and brand owners pay for the advertisement of their goods because they alone will be the ones to gain from it. Then who will advertise something that he is not the only one to gain from it? The government? No, I don't think so.

Definitely same with my Country, T.V is great type of media if you think of advertising something you want to grow, but since bitcoin provides huge amount of money, and I never heard politician or any government official who publicly agree with terms and conditions regarding this then I bet that if they'll discover what makes a bitcoin is I am sure that they will make something to get something from this , they will will banned it to public and earn on their own or even set a tax here. In a nutshell TV advertising is not good for now unless someone will make bitcoin immune from this possible scenarios. |

Ofcourse they would introduce bitcoin in a simple way. they will create a visual representation on how bitcoin works and how the blockchain technology is so secured. they will not use technical terms and only just layman term. |

It only waste of time and money to advertise bitcoin on the tivi. Bitcoin is only learned by themselves with research and internet. As soon as they got interested they will search the informations regarding bitcoin. With the help of internet, it will be so easy to do it. I am sure advertisement on television will increase the number of people who uses bitcoin! |

In my country I have not seen bitcoin advertised on TV, but I have seen it appear on the news program, if bitcoin is advertised on TV then I think it will be a way for people to know to bitcoin in the fastest way. |

True. We are more used to see other kind of advertising on TV, which are normal to be seen for us, such as: cars, cigarettes beer, pills, technic, food, cleaning stuff and ect. Bitcoin is digital currency and nobody is advertising currencies or generally money on TV, it will look just like a financial pyramid (I just remember how some of this scam things have been advertised on our TV years ago). |

they have already done that in some TV programs when they talked about bitcoin and what it is, and I once saw a program do a QR code giveaway kind of deal on TV.
none of it is going to help as much as you and I stop hoarding bitcoin and start spending it. because as we begin using bitcoin more as a currency, the more merchants will be willing to accept it as a payment and eventually the growth speeds up and we can see new kind of adoption. meaning real bitcoin users not more speculators.
When bitcoin can be advertise on a television program one thing is sure, that is bitcoin has been legal on a specific country. Because most of the television program has been televised through the law and system of the government. And of course if bitcoin will be legal on a specific country it also means that the government itself will have a authority or they can manage the production of bitcoin in the market. So even the advertisement can help out the means of popularity of bitcoin government can hoard the mass production of bitcoin for regulatory purposes. |

I think the impact is that it could be more popular for the people and they will be having an interest in it. People who watch this advertisement would be curious because of this type of cryptocurrency. It's nice to see that Bitcoin will be advertising on our television. I've not already seen here in my country this kind of advertising because there are only a few people who know about bitcoin. But if this could be done, there's a lot of people use these cryptos. I hope I could watch bitcoin advertising on T.V soon. |

The question is who exactly will be covering the cost of the advertisement? collectively making a fund raise for the ad, or some company paying for it?
Rather than advertising for bitcoin itself, a bitcoin company, advertising itself and bitcoin indirectly seems more reasonable.
It is a good idea. In advertising bitcoin there will be many ways to earn. Many companies will create projects,they will have a better profit and it will be a big help in society, i think there'll will be no poor because you can earn money in surfing the internet. |

I guess depend in our country, maybe if all people are open minded then I guess it is also good. But some other people can use this in a bad way. Maybe for the meantime I think bitcoin is good as for now without advertisement. But this is also a good idea so that bitcoin users will increase too. |

Bitcoin doesn't need any advertisement on media like tv and radio. Most of the people have been used the internet so they are allowed to see this. Bitcoin can see in advertisement via the internet. Companies should advertise their products and the one payment method is through Bitcoin. Bitcoin popularity is on its own. |
