Flapmin,

Can you give uBm (or I)  the OK to officially contact the staffers on Freenode so we can gain the #flappycoin channel back?

not sure, why, but we got one miner that is practically an overkill to the network hasrate.
it does not make sense to push a network with 78 mh or more when the nethash is like 22 mh like it was yesterday.
this reduces the pools to one. Practically. not a smart move, who ever is running that miner.
and even more it will reduce the miners to one.
greedy or just dumb i don t know, but this is the wrong way to push a network. if you want to push a network NEVER take more then 50 % of the network´s hashrate.  have fun mining this, i am pretty sure many will hop off bcause of you.

[not sure, why, but we got one miner that is practically an overkill to the network hasrate].

Oops...

Because I was not paying attention for a few days and 2 other coins on the miner failed over, should have been only hitting it with around 15-20 at most, I will let the diff go back down, sorry folks.

[this reduces the pools to one.]

From a practical point however, when someone can solomine at a higher hashrate than all the pools combined, the coin is very vulnerable to being manipulated, flappy really does need a bit more hashrate, the only thing that prevents anyone from messing with it at the moment is that it isn't tradable for anything, . That will change when it gets listed on an exchange...

You do realize that if you implement merge mining, the difficulty of flappy will most likely be driven up to the difficulty of the child coin....

Long ago, myriad did a pool with merge mining of multiple coins, they handled the multiple wallet address issue by having the miners sign the aux addresses using their primary wallet, and then submitting the signed text to the pool, which then saved those addresses and associated them with the primary mining address, this allowed half a dozen aux coins to be included without making a gigantic mess out of the miner username field...

i was hoping it was caused by a mistake , so -- all good, anyway - but i have a bad feeling the chain may have been forked.
so everony please compare to blockcrawler an post result pls.

for merged mining:
it is a feature of p2pool, i didnt implement it, just activated it.

higher hashrate:
higher hashrate is welcome, but yeah 70mh compared to 30 something is a bit high Tongue
if you really like to push it, add 10 mh, that is still a lot, - better would be many miners with small hashrates to have much more nodes.

Also: if anyone is interested, here ´s the p2pool node that connects to the current p2pool network.

1 of the times it was me.  My A2 had your pool as its third pool on mrr.  Just so happened the first 2 failed and it rolled to yours.  It was on there a while before I got notified of the lack of hash on prohashing. =(

I deleted the pool from the list lol.

out of interest what miner do you use ?
it spammed heavy, guess you where coming from stratum+tcp port
miner was send 1000 ´s  of 0 diff shares. no matter what pool told you to send.
i have seen that with sgminer on stratum+tcp p2pool also,
had a chat yesterday with waillor, and he was sending fine on stratum+tcp with bfgminer.

it runs cgminer 3.9.0 innosilicon-12chip-v0p5.  I had it set without the stratum+tcp I think, just the url.

My local wallet matches exactly, with 4 connected notes, diff is low , but the chain is still running late from before...

--

The A2 will happily beat the hell out of a pool if you forget the stratum+ , don't do that lol
I have also found MRR masks certain error conditions sometimes, I suppose it is because it is taking the stratum info apart and putting it back together again, so some things that should be 'wrong' get fixed up, and nobody realizes the data is gibberish except the poor pool...

something is wrong !!!

-When I should receive a reward of 6250FLAPS per block, I only received 50flaps!!

-When I should receive a reward of 25000FLAPS per block, I only received 12500flaps

- NOW that I should only receive 12500FLAPS per mined block I get more ...

Anyway, what's going on?

    else if(nHeight < 750000)  {     nSubsidy = 6250 * COIN;    }
    else if(nHeight < 779333)  {     nSubsidy = 25000 * COIN;   }
