When will BTC be at $5,000?

I think that $5k is possible to achieve at the end of the year as now we are getting closer to the price of $3k which can be achieve in next few days and once it reaches there we can start dreaming of $5k price.

It's impossible for this year. Realistic price for this year was $3500. Though $5000 is possible still long way to go for that. My first guess was 2020 but because of the demand maybe we could reach it earlier than 2020.

Not so fast my friend! Seems like many forget what's going to happen in august, where nobody knows what the outcome will be!
You know UASF is going to happen in lesst than 2 months right?!
The good thing is that SegWit will finally happen. But if the miners like Antpool want to preserve their stupid ASICBOOST they will split and create their chinacoin!
And then it's up to the users which chain they prefer to follow.
Under such circumstances I can not see $5k happen this year. Another big correction would be more likely then!
Don't get me wrong. Im a Bitcoin lover and mostly bullish. But we also have to be realistic when such serious events are close to happen where really absolutely nobody can predict what the outcome will be.

A more realistic estimate for that price would be after the next halving. By that time $5k is much much feasible.

We can definitely reach the $3000 mark anytime sooner if we will not see some emotional selling this time and yes we can definitely reach the $5000 dollar mark at the end of the year we will be lucky on the impending split on August 1, but let's just hope and be prepared for the upcoming event that can definitely change our perspective towards bitcoin.

if it goes expontensiol like it goes at present, it will reach twice faster to 5K, then it gets from 1.5K to 3K.
so:
1.5.2017 aprox 1500usd
1.6.2017 aprox 2500 usd
15.6.2017 aprox 3500 usd
1.7.2017 aprox 4500 usd
8.7.2017 aprox 5.500 usd

so it will reach 5.000 on 4-5.7.2017

The growth of bitcoin is not exponential, but I will admit the growth of bitcoin seems to be accelerating I think we are going to reach 5000 in the summer of 2019 maybe it will be sooner but I think that gives bitcoin enough time if we consider bitcoin is not going to always go up.

Now that the price is at $2,259 USD, I am asking the same Question, but changing the target to $5,000 USD.

Bitcoin new ATH has been set to over $4000 on South Korean exchanges while others reached $2800 or $3000 depends on which exchange we talking about. After correction, bitcoin seems steady at this range ($2500-$2800) and couldn't break $3000 again (except SK exchanges). I think bitcoin will reach $5000 in the next year after segwit or blocksize problem resolved, so we won't wait for days until a transaction be confirmed.

How is that possible that price is so different? Is demand for bitcoins in South Korea so high that price is 1000 dollars more on their exchangers, I'm really surprised with this news. Bitcoin is making new ATH every day, and peak can be over 5000 dollars, if we price continue to rise like this we will see that price very soon, maybe even in one month or two, now everything is possible.
Does anyone from here is selling bitcoins on Korean sites? People who can know how to do this probably are making good profit in this price difference.

This will depend on when and how current network problems will be resolved. If the UASF goes smoothly, $5,000 is quite possible in a year, or even less.

To see the growth of bitcoin price, than it is not difficult to say that in December of 2017 bitcoin will be come at $5000. Because, now everyday we see bitcoin price is going to up.
Than why not we think positive that bitcoin will come at $5000.

I am glad at least you agreed bitcoin will reach $5000 ranges unlike many people who are still thing bitcoin is overvalued. But I am predicting bitcoin to have values above values above $5000, it may not need another six months of time, yes I am expecting bitcoin prices to hit $5000 levels within this year 2017.

It was predicted before that bitcoin price would cross $2000 by 2017 end.But surprisingly it reached $2000 on march 2017 itself.Now some predict that bitcoin price would cross $5000 on 2020 after block reward halving.But we could see bitcoin price rapidly increasing and now its price is $2800.If bitcoin price continue to increase in this speed,then we could expect $5000 price by 2018 end.It depends on the developments which would occur aftre australia's stand on bitcoin and other countries coming forward to accept bitcoin legally.

End of the year, the price of bitcoin can go up at $5,000 soon. But we'll see, there's more event to come on August 1. And when the result is positive e can see the price of bitcoin boost up. After there are some other countries adopt bitcoin at 3rd quarter there's a lot of chance to see the price of bitcoin get up $5k.

I would say that the price of Bitcoin will only be at 5 thousand when there is a huge demand for it and a lot of people are buying and selling. The demand is steadily rising at the moment and I hope it continues to rise. Maybe in 2018 it will be 5 thousand dollars.

seeing the $3000 mark by the end of this week is still doubt but in this month we can see the price above $3000+ and if the positive news more comes then sure within 3 months we can see Bitcoin crossing $5000 mark also because anything is possible until their are goods pouring

It seems that you are disappointed that it took bitcoin 42 months to break $2000 barrier. Don't be. we need organic stable growth not bubbles and price's spikes.
We need to consider fact that pump in 2013 when bitcoin break $1100 was totally orchestrated fake spike; it was a mix of bot trading, chinese leverage trading and Mt.Gox failure.
Current high price is a new floor because we have bitcoin adoption growing, awareness is rising, and bitcoin is embraced as legal payment tender by the international community.
