Japan has become pioneer in accepting bitcoin legally.Definitely it has boosted the price of bitcoin more.It has become an eye opener for other countries to adopt bitcoin.

That's very interesting news since only few companies or establishments are accepting bitcoin as way of payment. Japan really treat bitcoin as a currency. Hope to see a many countries do the same. Japan has legalized and regulated Bitcoin. So most of the Bitcoin-related firms, such as exchanges and gambling sites will move their operations to Japan. The thing that worries me about vendors accepting Bitcoin is that they are likely to immediately transfer it to fiat at market value, therefore pushing the price down and creating volatility. This volatility then makes it less likely for more vendors to adopt Bitcoin. It also makes those vendors that already did, less likely to continue accepting it. Bitcoin has a volatility problem which is, ironically, limiting its growth.

Wow this is a great news, I haven't seen this article yet at cointelegraph. Japan is very serious with bitcoin, I guess the factor that the creator of bitcoin is a japanese name. They are now trying to recognize it this way and this is a good adoption, this means that Japanese people or those people that will use JBA will use bitcoin that can make the demand higher.

wow! what a great news to the bitcoin community. it just goes to show that bitcoin is getting more and more popular and been extremely embraced by the japanese people. this will also make people and bitcoin users who travels a lot to be at ease and have the convince they all been wanting. it will be hassle-free to them.

Out of curiosity, how about the confirmation which needs to arrive? Is it just accepting zero-confirmation just like some bitcoin payment gateway do?. The average confirmation needs about 15 minutes to arrive and probably some people still have some time to wait for it until the plane's landing, but, how if the fee is just not enough and the transaction get stuck?.

3 practical issues i see

1. budget airlines = people not wanting to spend too much = why would they agree to a $1+ fee and wait ~10minutes-48 hours
2. many credit cards these days (if you avoid the normal domestic (country locked) ones do not charge much

This is why a more robust blockchain technology like NEM's Mijin will take bitcoin's place eventually.  The fact that Japan tends to lead technological innovation is why NEM is more popular there while people here in the US hype segwit.

Well its a good news for peole who have Bitcoin to bring in Japan that also don't want to convert anymore money to Yen. But it made me raise a doubt on one of your statement in which you say that by accepting Bitcoin it will increase the tourism of the place? So you are basically saying that if they accepted Bitcoin, then instantly tourist will now start going to visit Japan. I disagree with you about that because a tourist does not go to a place because of the money but because of the place they will visit.
