I'll invest in buying some bitcoins. Because I'm sure the next few days bitcoin prices can increase. Growing 500USD with bitcoin is now easier than any other investment.

LTC is one of the best and cheapest options right now considering how it was conceived and the level of legitimacy it has. I promise you that.

You wont find a better alternative to Bitcoin other than LTC, and besides Bitcoin miners were mining it from the get go if it wasn't good then why would they mine it?

And it's price isn't even %2 of Bitcoin's, frankly I bought some back then when price was moving around $4 and sold @25 which now I regret.

If I had $500 for investment I would cut the money in half, meaning $250 would be in buying bitcoin which I'm sure will increase its value in the next few years and the other would be invested in altcoin trading.

But I am strongly suggesting to go 100% with bitcoins. It is highly expected altcoins may switch over to old trend of finding down fall against soaring bitcoin prices.  Because when bitcoin finding rallies which might be lasting till $10k levels, I am sure that high profile traders will be switching into bitcoins from altcoins.

But as of now both bitcoin trading and altcoin trading are equally profitable but there will be no guarantee this trend will continue when bitcoin will be having prices in 5 digits.

If I have $500 US dollars worth of Bitcoin I am going to invest it to 100usd each to: STRAT, SYS, STEEM, DCR, SC. These are wonderful coins that continue to rise.

I feel bitcoin has it its saturation. I would opt for XRP aka Ripple instead of any other currency. There are so many good things happening and just last month a big investment came in which skyrocketed the price. But its like penny stocks right now and should continue growing.

LTC is also another decent option.

Yeah, now i have already more than 500$ but i convert them into bitcoins. I also suggest you don't invest in other coins, only buy bitcoin with your $500 and see you have a chance to could double it only hold your bitcoin. I know it's still early to buy bitcoins as it is not still reaching what everyone is expecting like $3,000 or $5,000.

I'm going to invest that 500 bucks to ETH and will just wait for it to pump before selling it. And with the profit that I will get through ETH.

That will be converted to bitcoin and that's the start of my bitcoin holding.

Compared to altcoin investments, I too feel bitcoin investments will be more safer and highly profitable as per current volatility of bitcoin markets. Some six months back those $500 would have invested with bitcoin it might be grown more than four times. Still there would be more possibilities of similar earning with the bitcoin investments.

Altcoins are doing good right now, I'm not having any second opinion about this but I'm not finding they will continue similar pace in near future too.

The four coins which you mentioned are better for investment in which bitcoin is more important to invest in because the value of bitcoin is rising very faster and it has a more bright future so I will invest in bitcoin first and if I though to invest in altcoins then the remaining will be my further steps.

No one can say you what to do, and where to invest money, we all risk when we buy some coins. I think that in this times even holding bitcoins is a risk, price is rising, but some people expect drop, what will happen we will see, and some people will earn or lose money.
Buying altcoins is a good thing always, I prefer cheap coins that have chance to grow. LTC, ripple, I`m buying even doge.

I suggest if you have 500 dollars todayits better if you buy ethereum because this altcoi is thr next bitcoin if bitcoin die. And I believe ethereum will increase the price in the future because they have big big potential to increase high. If you see the orice of ethereum before its very low but if you see now its very difference the price is very high. But its ip to you if you want to buy ethereum I suggest to make research so you can know what is the best altcoin to buy.

I have 90% in bitcoin at the moment and 5% lisk, 5% Ethereum.

Main reason for holding lisk and ethereum at all is because the transaction fees are lower and they are quite recognized altcoins as well. so if i had to pay someone a low amount i would ask them whether they could accept lisk or ethereum and most of the time they'll say yes(if i ask the right people that is).

Holding 90% bitcoin is for the long term, i'm not planning on dumping any any time soon. only if the price is in a humungous bubble, like going from $2000 to $20000 in one week or something along the lines of that. But $500 is way too little for investment purposes, you need at least $5k to make a decent profit.
