Today, Brigita Rebernik from the SunContract and SONCE energija Project Department presented our company's work and progress on the BRIGHT international project (Boosting DR through increased community-level consumer engagement by combining data-driven and blockchain technology) together with other cooperating partners. The project, which will be completed next autumn, involves 16 partners from 7 countries (Italy, Belgium, Romania, the Netherlands, Greece, Estonia, Slovenia) and has a value of €5.8 million.

If your electricity supplier is not the partner of the SunContract platform, the surplus transfer is unfortunately not possible. The transfer of surpluses is currently only available with SunContract.
If you want to transfer your surpluses, you need to change your electricity supplier in the first step. To change, first register for free on the SunContract platform and fill out the supplier change form. Everything else is arranged by us.

In an interview, he spoke about the reasons for the extreme demand for solar power plants and presented the first 100% self-sufficient community in Zavrate as a good example of the use of solar potential.

Last week, the Manual for Investors Man in Smart and Circular Building was released. It publishes also an article about BETAi (Blockchain Energy Trading with Artificial Intelligence) project at Dom Lenart, home of the elderly in small Slovenian town Lenart near Maribor. SONCE energija, our exclusive partner, and some other companies are connected in a consortium for the joint development of direct automatic electricity trading under the P2P system, enabled by blockchain technology. With this project, they improved the lives of residents of the home of the elderly and helped reduce heat and electricity costs.

The metaverse is a concept of a persistent, online, 3D universe that combines multiple different virtual spaces. You can think of it as a future iteration of the internet. The metaverse will allow users to work, meet, game, and socialize together in these 3D spaces.

The metaverse isn’t fully in existence, but some platforms contain metaverse-like elements. Video games currently provide the closest metaverse experience on offer. Developers have pushed the boundaries of what a game is through hosting in-game events and creating virtual economies.

Although not required, cryptocurrencies can be a great fit for a metaverse. They allow for creating a digital economy with different types of utility tokens and virtual collectibles (NFTs). The metaverse would also benefit from the use of crypto wallets, such as Trust Wallet and MetaMask. Also, blockchain technology can provide transparent and reliable governance systems.

The answer is simple. If you are connected to the grid and then the power goes out, the grid system also goes out. Solar power will not serve as a backup generator. This happens to protect repairmen working to restore power. If electricity is back while repairmen are working, it could be dangerous or even fatal. As a result, your inverter knows that the grid has been shut off and shuts off the electricity generation by solar plants.

Blockchain technology, while a crucial infrastructure on which the SunContract platform runs, is not compatible with traditional fiat currencies. Therefore, transactions are settled in SNC tokens.
We wanted to make the platform as easy to use as possible, and so our customers can in fact still pay and receive EUR currency, by way of SEPA – our integrated fiat gateway that enables those who do not know anything about blockchain, to still use the platform easily.

P2P energy trading technologies are an extremely efficient way of transacting energy. Blockchain improves the management of decentralized energy systems. Enabling the adoption of local energy marketplaces by localized P2P energy trading will significantly increase energy self-production and self-consumption.
P2P trading in local energy marketplaces can also provide socio-economic incentives that promote the local renewable generation and therefore might form an alternative incentive for prospective prosumers. Consumers, who cannot afford to invest in renewable generation, either due to capital funding or limited space, can also buy green energy at affordable prices.

In an idyllic location along Lake Kočevje in Slovenia, is situated the bar Ribič Kočevje. Its operation has been sustainable from the beginning (the construction of the building and the offer of domestic and natural products). Their sustainable vision was upgraded with a solar power plant set up by our exclusive partner company SONCE energija. The new solar power plant will save up to €4,000 a year, considering current electricity prices, while supplying home-produced and environmentally friendly energy.
