We are planning new services to be introduced and with those services, SNC gets more utility functions, and where are more functions, is more added value and it has a certain influence on the price

We introduced last December a new platform service, variable energy P2P marketplace. This was an answer to high energy prices and huge volatility in energy wholesale.

SunContract was far first on the market to do it and it was well accepted on the market.

Will we see a new market next year?

I am very positive about it, at least one market; with our new teams and open transition, I hope will stay in the future, it is realistic now.

 Yesterday, he participated in a discussion Metaverse, NFT and Blockchain for climate change and explained, what SunContract means in practice for prosumers. He also presented how you can use SunContract to develop local energy communities. He also mentioned plans to issue NFT to enable globally connected production and P2P consumptions.

Jošt Štrukelj, director of SunContract, participated yesterday in a panel in photovoltaics and self-sufficiency, which was part of the expert meeting of Energy Innovations in Brdo near Kranj.

He presented to participants the advantages of the SunContract energy marketplace, which can be used to adapt electricity demand to its production and in this way provides additional flexibility.

NFT stands for 'non-fungible token'. When something is fungible, like a dollar bill, it is equivalent to, and can thus be exchanged for, any other dollar bill. In contrast, a non-fungible token is a unique asset in digital form that cannot be exchanged for any other NFT. This means that every NFT is a 'one-of-a-kind' item. NFTs are transferred from one owner to another using blockchain technology, which creates a digital trail from seller to buyer that verifies the transaction. The physical world counterpart would be a unique collectible asset such as a piece of art, for which you might have a certificate of ownership attesting to its authenticity. Electricity producer August Likeb from Polzela has four solar power plants on the roofs of buildings on its farm with a total power of more than 150 kW. Three of them are bigger and one is smaller. All electricity generated by three major solar power plants is sold at the SunContract marketplace.

He decided to sell under a dynamic pricing model: “If you have an annual fixed-price contract, you’re tied to that price all year. But if you choose a dynamic model and electricity prices are higher month to month, that’s a big plus for me because I can charge the price based on the state of the market,” says Mr. Likeb.

Given that he does not have time to monitor the offer in the marketplace, he took advantage of our Energy Management Service. This means that the agreements on the marketplace are made by a qualified trader on his behalf.
