So they aren't even able to automate the renewal
Could this be a security feature, so that the site can't be used for long if the server is taken (by authorities)?

They use Let's Encrypt's free certificates from what I can tell; their certificates can be easily auto renewed and this is encouraged (which is one of the reasons their validity is short).
I am not well informed so i have no statement about it.
-snip-
You don't need to make a statement; I know what I'm talking about as this is literally the same setup that I've been using for a very long time.

-snip-
I used to use HostGator for my hosting previously later I found out that they do not allow to modify the mod_security function. I tried to explain why It is important for me but they have their terms which I had to accept. On the other hand, I have to run my business too. So, I decided to move from them. I had to chose one who allows mod_security to modify.

In reality, most of the big service providers provide modification of mod_security but in this case hostgator had something different in mind.
They are hosted on Vultr (at least the front-end is), there should be no such restrictions for their VPSes.

So they aren't even able to automate the renewal
Could this be a security feature, so that the site can't be used for long if the server is taken (by authorities)?
No. The authorities could trivially issue another certificate from Let's encrypt if they had control of the server. It requires you to just run 1 command.

Site is still live and you can login as well but your login details or other credential details will not safe.

I have too. And glitches happen. Depending on how they automated it, there are quite a few scenarii that can explain a non working automatic renewal. Happened to me once or twice in the last couple years.

The thread is dead, the account is inactive and Darkstar isn't. So mind your own business.

LoyceV claims it happened before, so I doubt it's a recurring glitch.

Again, mind your own business.

Account last active is on 23rs January you can't call it inactive. Even Darkstar keep users who are offline for more than 10 days.
The thread is also not dead the last post by admin on 15th Jan. Do you want that they keep posting in thread anything?
Why don't you use their contact us option: https://chipmixer.com/about

is Darkstar is the part of the team of chipmixer?

--

It did happen before, and the only comment given about it was that the renewal process is done manually.

As to the why, i don't think anyone has ever gotten a response regarding that. Perhaps they know something we don't  ?

Is there no option to renew monthly or biweekly? This would potentially solve their problem and make everything a bit more secure.

Receiving private keys over plain text isn't something I'd risk... Although no one seems to have lost out from this glitch and it was quite quickly resolved for ChipMixer. Their chips also seem to have run out at the moment.

@lauda, as an FYI most of us have posted in the Ann thread so anything posted will likely be replied to fairly quickly but I don't have any issues with you posting in here personally if that's what you want to do...

Yeah... Gyrsur has had a "chip" on his shoulder (if you'll pardon the pun) regarding ChipMixer or, more correctly, Darkstar_ and the CM sig campaign, since around Aug 2017 when he disagreed with Darkstar_'s methods for choosing campaign participants, the lack of a "waiting list" for the campaign and a perceived "lack of transparency" regarding how participants are chosen.

will do it! thank you.

How stupid is it to argue with me and let me make take over the thread for advertising the competitor.
If it shows anything it's that anyone with more than 2 braincells can see that "our" competitor hires braindead posters to advertise for them, which should definitely be something to take into account when thinking about using their service.

You're only discrediting the service you're advertising for by fueling your anti-CM fetish imo. I don't possibly see how you making libelous claims is in any way beneficial to said competitor. But if they pay you for this, hey, be my guest and good luck.

This wouldn't be something that Hhampuz would allow, a quick message to him would have you removed for this.

Horrible what people try to do.

Anyone posting in this thread while being part of any of my campaigns below this post will be removed without notice or payment. We can all prosper from this forum and there's no need to take it to these threads to duke it out. We have the Reputation sub & PM's, use those if necessary.

This is nothing against you Gyrsur, I've just had the same thing happen to me in my campaign threads and it's only annoying while also leading nowhere. Always remember that it takes two to tango. I felt it necessary for me to step in as I can feel for Darkstar_.

Was getting paid via lightning network a spoof or not? I've noticed there's an android app for it and if I can get the thing to work I might be interested Grin.

Edit: I have the lightning stuff sorted. Just need 6 confirms.
