Yes smart miners pay 2% fee + 0.05 BTC and waste power on an illiquid coin, makes sense.

Bether to earn $2.6 a card per day right. $0.60 increase in revenue on the same power. A 30% faster miner could be 100% more profitable if the powercost is high... Private bins is forcing the other miners over to less profitable coins.
For lyra2z you need 6-7MHASH on the 1080ti to be profitable. The dregde and the t-rex miners are much slower than this . And much slower than my mod from october 2017...

Now it`s normal. 1080ti is a really powerful GPU but if you count with price/profitability - 1060(3) much better then 1080ti. If you have enough free space of course.

I guess it would be a faster ROI because of the price of 1060 TI's but like you said, you'd need a hell of a lot of room to set up 24 1060's and that power draw would be a beast.

It's not only that, you must also calculate expense that rise with additional cables, risers, PSUs, mbo and all stuff you need if you cannot hookup all cards to one rig, and you usually cannot.
ROI cannot be calculated just from GPU perspective because it gives you false results.

Yeah, but the other parts of the system have uses beyond mining. After your done mining 16gb of ram is still 16gb of ram. Thats why I got into GPU mining to begin with, to protect my investment. Can't lose money the same way you can with ASIC's. I could build 3-4 high end systems and sell them if I decided I was out.

Some of you have invested millions of dollars in equipment. A +$0.6 software boost per card could save the farm when the market is crashing. For the smaller miner my renesis miner 2% fee + 0.05 BTC is a good option. It's a gamble, but a gamble can sometimes be very profitable...

$2 a day was optimistic, right now the second best altcoin is 20% worse than ETH ($1.60 a day atm). Even if your miner is 27.4% faster (factoring the 2% devfee out of the boost), and even if you have solved the increased stales and much lower actual hashrate than the reported - the second best non-ETH altcoin would be on par with ETH at a 50% higher power draw.
And please don't say "mine unknown shitcoins" - they all drop in value and diff shoots up within hours.

Shitcoins will get totally destroyed if the hashrate of roughly 10 million cards (293TH/s / 29MH per card) enters their network. I'll probably just shut down my rigs if the earnings are that low.

Probably they will get back to Zec which is the favourite altcoin to be mined with a Nvidia Gtx 1080 ti although the entering of the Z9 miners in the market have increased the difficulty of the Zec network and are making even the best of the cards available right now at the market look obsolete when mining Zec or making only about 1.5 to 2 dollars daily mining Zec.

Giving sp_ the benefit of the doubt, is there possibility of releasing vouch copies of your mods for small miners like me? As far as i can see the problem is that people don't trust you have a product that is worth it. A few vouch copies would probably do good in helping you sell custom miners.

The competition in the miner market has increased, and if I spread my work for free with a fee, the competion will just exctract my gpu code, protect it bether, put their own fee on it and steal my work. Bigger farms will protect their investment bether. Bad for the community because you got a few farms who will harvest all the profit, and the smaller miners will be pushed over to the non profitable coins.

You should support my work and buy my 0.05btc mods. Some of them are still profitable.

I think it's not the best option, 1080ti is specialized in zec mining, so the risk of one algo is very high. If something happens with zec, 1080ti becomes less profitable comparing to amd cards (rx570). I mean the outcome in hashes per spent usd.
