Definitely increase in Bitcoin price is major factor which causes increase in interest. Bitcoin price is continuously increasing for past few months and now price is almost steady around 2700$ which is why it is drawing people attention. I partly agree with this because those people invested their money into bitcoin that causes price hike so fast but then we hope that this will be in long run,  we hope not just a small time invested. Well, there are lot of factors that can affect the price of bitcoin and bitcoin has no definite value because in every second, minutes, hours the price of bitcoin is always change. The fluctuation of supply and demand in the market is main factor that can affect the price of bitcoin to change. Furthermore, the numbers of people who have it or buy it also affect the price of bitcoin to change.

I don't see it exclusively as 'growth of bitcoin' when price is rising and  vice versa. Bitcoin is currency but a volatile one with a not big market cap. I will see it as growth when people prefer to transact each other using it instead of fiat money or other way payments.

Being practical each and every transaction is not possible to be deal in the Bitcoin because you don’t have to pay a fee on the fiat while paying a merchant for your grocery items that you purchase for daily life use nor for the food that you buy from the restaurants if you have to pay it in the Bitcoin you have to pay extra the transaction fee.
