YES IF can beat the bitcoin coummunity .. but remember that bitcoin is the father of all crypto .. theres nothing wrong if you want to replace bitcoin by any other but before you do that or we !! that coin should beat what bitcoin value now! if not! well theres no discussion for this ..
look, everyone call it bitcoin but in a million of having a coin most of them only have some satoshi and not really bitcoin because when you said bitcoin it is on 1.0000 and above and not 0.000something we call it satoshi Smiley

At first I thought it was impossible for Bitcoin to be replaced since it is the first cryptocurrency, but you are right, some altcoins may have better features than Bitcoin and people may prefer them instead.

Here's an analogy, lets imagine all cryptocurrencies are like mobile phones. Bitcoin is Nokia, and started the mobile phone trend. And soon after everyone started using Nokia. But brands like Blackberry, Samsung and Apple soon created their own phones, and Apple made a major breakthrough with a touchscreen function, where everyone gradually switched to that after a while, and now Nokia is outdated.

Bitcoin has our trust now, but other cryptocurrencies might overtake BTC in the future. Smiley
Is really other cryptocurrency can beat bitcoin? I think its impossivle because as of now bitcoin is the most trusted cryptocurrency than the other. And the value of it is higher than the other so more users prefer to it. And also because bitcoin is known and famous as of now. And becoming more famous.

I think Bitcoin is developing and is now the world's most valuable currency so it's hard to get any money to beat it. However, in the future, I believe that there will be many other digital currencies to overcome the disadvantages of Bitcoin such as high fees, long transaction time.

What I can imagine is that bitcoin is the investment form of crypto currencies, and another coin becomes the payment form of it.
The market capitalization of the coin used for payment could even be higher than the one of bitcoin.
But the payment coin should not have a maximum supply like bitcoin has.
Otherwise it would become a form of investment as well.

A lot of people and media have named bitcoin as the new gold and there is a possibility of bitcoin being replaced by any altcoin but it's not likely to happen any sooner. It will take years to do so and bitcoin will remain in power for a few years at least.

Well there are other coins out there which some people prefer more than bitcoin, but in the end its converted to bitcoin (based on experience and procedures that i use) which is then converted to the currency of the country that i live in. As of now im participating in altcoins and truth be told it really is worth it in the end since its pay is really high.

No I don't think bitcoin could be replaced by any other cryptocurrencies in the near future as long as popularity, price and community that bitcoin has at the moment. Usually most of us are interested in cryptocurrencies other than bitcoin only for trading purpose so that we can make some good money with them. I agree there are a few cryptocurrencies like ethereum, ripple etc which may have something better than bitcoin to offer but unfortunately they don't have strong community in the lack of which most of them fizzle out in few years so a strong community of supporters is a must for any cryptocurrencies to survive and which only bitcoin has at present. I don't think bitcoin will be replaced by any cryptocurrencies any time soon.

I don’t think so that bit coins will stop developing it will be progressing day by day many of countries are now accepting it across the globe transactions can be done with the help of bitcoins and many online store accept it so there is no chance to stop it or chance to convert it into any other currency because it is a trend that is settled toward this field and gain of profit is higher in BTC than other.

If we look at the demand and the price of the bitcoin is very high and we can make good money from bitcoin so it does have some potential to do the best for us so it can replace the other crypto currencies such as the bitcoin demand is getting high because it is more easy to use than other currencies and more people are using bitcoin now than the past so for me it is truly possible for bitcoin to do this.

i do this question because i´ve read in this website issues with bitcoin, slow mining process, high fees, etc. and i´ve read too good reviews of some altcoins, ethereum (smart contracts), ripple (for transfers between banks), dash and nem. these altcoins called 2.0. could bitcoin become just in future virtual gold reserved to companies and rich people?
Well yes it is, it is not impossible someday there would be a certain new digital currency will sprout and spread its potential for people , and it will be better than bitcoin, it is not impossible and people must be open also in that possibility since technology innovates , also the currency evolves.

Father does not mean that bitcoin is the greatest. father has a lot of son and son has more chance to develop and become even stronger than father because sons can be developed and improved by new technology

It means bitcoin technology will be updated every time, I understand that is true. now bitcoin's blockchain is not 2.0 version but we can expect it may upgrade the higher version still so many countries does not aware of digital money and they just want to upgrade the banking. Independent bitcoin wallet or altcoin wallet cannot be handled by government.

Currently Bitcoin still remains the best coins and having maintain this position for quite some time now I don't think any coins has that capacity to over take Bitcoin. Bitcoin is serving as a central bank to others altcoins and we can see this infect from the way others coins do react to Bitcoin price fluctuations. We should keep fate with Bitcoin and let others coins or altcoins serve the commacial activities of the coins market.

Yes I'm sure someday there will be a coin that can replace bitcoin, maybe the coin is being done right now and the developer be patient to launch. capital strength becomes the main factor, because to beat the bitcoin it takes a massive promotion.

If ever such thing will happen it will take time before it can get discovered and gain popularity. Bitcoin takes a while before it gain popularity so as the other coins.

Definitely a coin that can replace bitcoin would still take some time to build its reputation. Bitcoin started with no value and it was noticed only after many years and then more bitcoin users joined the bandwagon that's why it has significant value today. Ethereum may be the one who will replaced bitcoin in terms of prices but then ethereum cannot totally replace it because they are created for different purpose. Bitcoin has paved the way in order for other currencies to be noticed quickly since it is the coin who started it all so it is hard to replace the original one.

Maybe a few years from now, a coin that has already been created or to be created yet will dominate the crypto world in terms of prices, popularity etc. but bitcoin will always be the one that will be remembered cause it is the founder and it has strong support from its community. Its hard to imagine a coin that will replace bitcoin for now.

This world is a competition, who can't compete with others will be replaced. Bitcoin is the same. So there is a chance another crypto currency will replace bitcoin if Bitcoin stop upgrading , improving. The dead of Nokia is an real example for this.

Bitcoin does have these issues. Mining has become increasingly slow because of Bitcoin Cash. We have lost quite a bit of hash - power due to the fact that Bitcoin Cash is currently more profitable to mine than Bitcoin. This has been reinforced by Bitcoin’s recent price drop. Miners are earning much more with Bitcoin Cash when compared to Bitcoin. Transaction fees are quite high, but I have been able to send transactions for 5 satoshi per byte on Blockchain. They get confirmed relatively soon. Bitcoin price volatility is another bad aspect of Bitcoin. But you can’t just judge everything from a couple of reviews. You have to test out Ethereum/any of altcoin and Bitcoin before you can decide which one is better. I would say Bitcoin is faring the best at the moment, but in saying that I must add that certain altcoins do have their advantages and disadvantages.

It may be possible.

If enough hype is generated around Ethereum, then it's quite easy actually for them to surpass bitcoin in market capitalization. However should market capitalization really be a mesaure of how successful a coin is, or whether it is the #1 crypto or not? I think not. Even though EThereum is currently very close to bitcoin, people still don't know it. Maybe 1% of people on earth know about bitcoin but only 20% of people who know bitcoin knowns about Ethereum. I find it hard to even find info on how to install and use ethereum apps. It's confusing af.

And even if ethereum surpasses bitcoin, it'll be short term. Bitcoin will definitely make a comeback.
It is not possible , in my point of view bitcoin cannot be replaced by any other cryptocurrency because bitcoin is first digital  because it introduces the digital currency and it gave huge profits in past and will give in future ,and people around the globe will not accept any other new currency as they are getting higher benefit from bitcoin.
