Indeed there are a lot of crypto that has a lot of advantage than bitcoin. No crypto is perfect, we know that already. But bitcoin already have a lot in hand. Most shop that are crypto-accepting have already invested on bitcoin nd would be long to take another risk on another alternative coin. Most people don't have an idea on alternative coin and more comfortable in using bitcoin.

i do this question because i´ve read in this website issues with bitcoin, slow mining process, high fees, etc. and i´ve read too good reviews of some altcoins, ethereum (smart contracts), ripple (for transfers between banks), dash and nem. these altcoins called 2.0. could bitcoin become just in future virtual gold reserved to companies and rich people?

Of course it can. The power of bitcoin can wane and some other cryptocurrencies can take advantage of it and be a changer in their currency. Ethereum is the closest to a rival of bitcoin but still the public chooses btc ad it is easier simpler and has stood the trst of time.

may be. if bitcoin stops developing and can not adjust to the development of the times, I think bitcoin will be quickly replaced by other coins that are more adaptable.
I don’t think so there is a coin which is more adaptable than bitcoins. Altcoins do not have tendency to beat bitcoins in any context. Bitcoins will definitely keep updating and the team is undoubtedly going to bring some awesome changes with time to keep investors interested in bitcoins.
Altcoins means a lot of alternative coin and there is a chance that one of those altcoins will replaced bitcoin in the future because of the better features and also the community that will become bigger than bitcoin. Those two are the major reasons for a coin to get a lot of popularity and i think that it is so easy for a good and strong altcoin to replaced bitcoin in the future.
I will simply suggest waking up and stopping dreaming about replacement of bitcoins by these shitty altcoins. We all know very well that no coin at present is having such a support or tendency to replace bitcoins in the near future.

Bitcoins are going to rule crypto land forever because the team is going to update bitcoins for time to time.

Why would Bitcoin be replaced by another coin or fall out of favor as if it were some company brand or stock? CocaCola is still around and and they even brought back CocaCola Classic. The Euro didn't go out of style and neither did the U.S dollar and people switch between those two currencies and many others years after the fact.

In the future there will be millions of crypto assets and tokenised contracts, and cryptos embedded in to smart contracts, and tokenised loyalty rewards and decentralized systems where people won't know who you are, but trust you as a result of the Blockchain, asset, or token you hold. People will switch between different crypto assets to purchase a token used in a specific store, and in return that store will send you back their tokens which you'd be able to convert back to your crypto asset of choice such as Bitcoin or some other Bitcoin 2.0. It won't matter because it will be a seamless and ubiquitous process that even a person born in the 1950's can accomplish. Even basic transactions will be completed in a matter of seconds. The future will be nothing like it is today; it will be a value based economy not a debt based economy and it will change not only the minds, but the language of people.

Maybe in the far future something like that would be possible, but I am about 70-80% sure that this won't be the case. Most altcoins do not have as sophisticated a blockchain as bitcoin has, and most miners are mining bitcoin at the moment, which also makes it more secure to use, as hackers will have a harder time making a fraudulent coin, as they would have to have network power of more than 51% of all nodes running in the blockchain, which is a LOT.
Also, the community behind BTC is a much loyal community, (most of it concentrated here at BTCTalk!), and it is maybe the main reason why BTC's value i much is much more than other altcoins. Bitcoin is far more used in real life than altcoins, and thus it is the better option to go with for now, and maybe in the near future too...but no prediction is perfect, maybe the majority of people will have a change of heart to move into any other altcoin in the future and that might overtake BTC.

It is not possible for any crypto currency to replace BTC as this coin already proved its value and approved by many countries as legal currency. People have more faith on BTC rather then any altcoin and no altcoin showing its strength to beat this coin in near future. No one can predict the future.
I agree with you the bitcoin will never be replaced by another crypto currency due to its broad spectrum advantages and merits. Bitcoin has bought a distinguished position so based on the brilliant past I am confirmed that most of the investors will invest in bitcoin and will make it more strong.

In my own opinion , bitcoin could not be replaced by any other cryptocurrencies because bitcoin is the number one cryptocurrencies im the world. Bitcoin also has the highest price in all cryptocurrencies that's  why there are less chances that bitcoin can be replced in other cryptocurrencies.

It depends on the people who are using it. Some thinks that eth is the  next to bitcoins reign.
The war on cryptocurrencies is like survival of fittest.  But i will stick on bitcoin no matter what happens.

Well we cant deny the fact there would be no stable for a life time here in this world even in bitcoin, we should accept , we should be open in the fact that maybe soon there would be an another crypto-currency that will sprout and reign over the digital world and be use for teansaction, but as long as this didnt come yet we should strive harder for bitcoin to continuously function for the users to be more profitable.

Bitcoin is being more and more famous it is increasing the worth and the price!  Bitcoin is the number one currency; I don’t think that any other currency could replace it. You can say anything about this so if we look at the price of the bitcoin then we will see the bitcoin currency gained a lot of fame more than the other crypto currencies so no currency can ever replace bitcoin according to me, it has the potential to grow and it will gain more and more fame.
No bitcoin cannot be replaced with any other coin because it has more scope than any other and investor should not experiment some new coin. And no body risks his money to a new starting or some other altcoins while he is getting higher profit in field of bitcoin so there is no possibility of replacement of bitcoins.

It is not the Bitcoin itself which made the revolution in the market. It was the blockchain technology. So, could Bitcoin be replaced by another cryto-currenc? Hardly, but it is possible. However, it is important to remember the fact this new currency would be using the very same blockchain technology from Bitcoin itself, and this is not necessarily mean that Bitcoin will loose all its value. I think this is a matter we do not need to worry about for the next 10 years, because Bitcoin is still a "toddler"!
It is impossible to replace bitcoin with some other crypto the main reason is the profit rate and its follower no one will invest into the new coin rather bitcoin is giving them showers of profit so don’t think like that the investor gain more in bitcoin than investing in any other coin and it is most stable coin of era.

It couldn't be. Bitcoin is the first crypto currency. Besides it's the pioneer  of digital currency. As we know that the price is getting higher year by year.

Maybe because in the world of technology there is a constant change. Every progress there's a change. Maybe one day one person could have another cryptocurrency then he will promote it someday.
The only permanent in this world is change. So that is possible for bitcoin to get replaced by another cryptocurrency because we all know that all the type of things in this world are getting older and they need to be replaced in order to maintain the good health of the market or the world and that is why there will be a time where bitcoin is not useful anymore.

LoL, what did you said? Bitcoin is the first digital currency, don't you see it is a big deal?
look at bitcoin the prices, whenever bitcoin price rise up, altcoins will follow it and vice versa. If bitcoin fail, all of altcoins will be gone as well.
Simply because bitcoin is the first one, and people have put trust in bitcoin, use it for years, real usability and utility compare to other altcoins.

I doubt that there is any other cryptocurrency or altcoin that can supersede the bitcoin.
But it dosen’t really replace the coins as they still give their function in their own blockchains, it is just that when you can use one blockchain as control panel of every other chain. For some new kind of money to come along that can do the same to bitcoin it would have to be so advanced that we cannot imagine it today. I believe telepathy would be required, or it may be be based on some kind of data that can be sent faster than light.

Yes, anything is possible but the chances are extremely low. It is simply because of the fact that Bitcoin is the most popular and most accepted crypto available in the market and it would take years for any other altcoin to reach this level.

I do not think so. Bitcoin can be replaced if there is a coin that is better than bitcoin. AS you can see, there are likely a hundred of coin can prove that they are better than bitcoin. However, even though bitcoin can be replaced, it will still be used as digital gold

The only other cryptocurrency poised to replace Bitcoin, or rather overtake it in market cap we should say, is Ethereum. The only reason for this is on the basis that hundreds of companies rely on ETH to run their business, where as Bitcoin is more so of an individualized investment type of thing for many.

In my opinion, it is really impossible. What makes a crypto on top is because of the advantages such as transactions, high market value, demand and large community. Bitcoin remained the no.1 crypto for years because it topnotched the mentioned factors. But as you've mentioned, there are altcoins that has more advantages than Bitcoin. If users of Bitcoin will be mindful with that, and will choose to transfer with certain altcoins, its market demand will fall that may also result for Bitcoin  to be replaced . But since Bitcoin is on mainstream as of this moment, this thing would be somehow impossible to happen.

It's impossible and hard to imagine on why bitcoins will be defeated by the other altcoins when we already know that bitcoins is the reigning king of the alts and many people holds it rather than anything else here so there's no replacing will be happen not unless if bitcoins network fail in the future and investors will select to shift some other coins.

Bitcoin is the trendsetter in crypto and it is boss of all no other currency can replace it, it give people more room as compare to other and people know about only one coin that is bitcoin and accepting of some other coin is impossible now because there is no one who will initiate to invest in new coin there is a lot of risk so relay on bitcoin is best option.

This world is a competition, who can't compete with others will be replaced. Bitcoin is the same. So there is a chance another crypto currency will replace bitcoin if Bitcoin stop upgrading , improving. The dead of Nokia is an real example for this.
You're right mate, but it could be a long term competition. But I don't think that bitcoin could be replaced by other coins because bitcoin had already tested by many attacks but it still stand for it. For it's strong foundation make bitcoin depend itself, and it become stronger as everyone in the community expected for this.
