Malignaggi Quits as McGregor's Sparring Partner After Photo LeakFormer two division world champion Paulie Malignaggi has had enough with UFC superstar Conor McGregor. Malignaggi, who retired earlier this year, was hired by McGregor to serve as a sparring partner in his ongoing training camp for the upcoming boxing match with Floyd Mayweather Jr. (49-0, 26 KOs). But on Thursday, controversy erupted after several photos from their most recent sparring session, which took place on Wednesday, began to surface on the social networks. If you focus only on the photos, it would appear that Malignaggi was knocked down and given a proper beating during the spar. But Malignaggi claims the photo where he was down on the mat - was actually the result of a push. He also says McGregor's team released selective photos to create the appearance that McGregor had dominated their sparring session. Malignaggi confirmed to ESPN that he's quitting McGregor camp and is likely flying back home to New York. "I wanted to be part of this event, but I didn't want to become the story and that's what this has turned into," Malignaggi told ESPN. "I won't release any information about his game plan or what he's working on -- I wouldn't do that. But this has become a fiasco. It's a circus. And I do want that sparring video released. The UFC's PI definitely has that video. I understand it can't come out now, but Conor, if you have any balls, release what really happened." "There was a pushdown yesterday. Conor on the inside, he can get a little rough. He shoved me down, you know, but no knockdowns. Obviously, 12 rounds, you're gonna see there's a mark on my face. Very, very hard work for both of us. I was starting to get in a groove in the middle rounds, starting to land some good shots. Conor really came on strong in the end. It was back and forth." McGregor will make his pro boxing debut against Mayweather, who returns from a two year retirement, on August 26th from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. http://www.boxingscene.com/malignaggi-quits-mcgregors-sparring-partner-photo-leak--119151 lol this is amazing. McGregor is great at playing mind games. He wants to fool people into thinking he is beating up former boxing champions in sparring, yet, he hasn't released a single minute of footage of actual boxing. Honestly I think this is bullshit. Malignaggi will probably leak some stuff to Mayweather now. He must be pissed. If you go to spar someone, you don't want any leaks, that is a bitch ass move, but in mind warfare anything goes, Conor will use anything he can, this is another one of his antics. I doubt Mayweather is faced at anything, too much experience and skill. I can't wait for this fight, it's going to be fun.

Though if there's one thing going for connor, it is playing games with his opponent pre-fight. It shouldn't be undermined thay connor is skilled with getting to his opponent's head. Just look at what happened to the aldo fight. I personally though that skill-wise, aldo is a lot more skilled and experienced than mcgregor. We all know how thay ended up with aldo being a bit too agressive.

Don't get me wrong, what he did against Aldo was impressive, but this is not an MMA match, we are talking about one of the best boxers ever, I doubt Conor can get inside his head at all. Also let's not discard this is another trick to sell the fight, like a pact between Malignaggi and Conor camp, but I doubt it, fighters got big egos, they are all rich and I doubt you can buy them at the expense of looking like you got beaten up.

Conor may be good at MMA but he isn't in boxing. He must have forgot that Floyd is one hell of a fast guy and can decide to engage quickly and move out swiftly like he always did to most of his fights. Its a cowardly move but definitely a style of his own.

-> Connor isn't a boxer and that is why it is going to work in his favour. -> You don't understand a simple logic,Connor might have watched every single boxing game of Mayweather and studied his style and his moves. On the other end,Mayweather doesn't know jack shit about Mcgregor's boxing moves since he hasn't disclosed any! ->Now who has more chances of winning ? The player who knows and have studied other player's game or the player who has no idea what other player's game is like ?

Well kinda interesting if we will take this as part of entertainment purposes. I just don't know the real reason behind this expose'. Conor may be good at MMA but he isn't in boxing. Conor McGregor will not entered the boxing scene without any knowledge of the sports in the first place or he thinks he can't handled how boxing system works. Also, there are thing called preparations and surely he studied all Mayweather's possible moves and countered that this guy will show once they fight.

This is actually good news haha, I don't buy into the McGregor hype yet I don't feel like pulling the trigger on Mayweather just. With such photos surfacing into socials network it will just keep money pouring in for McGregor, I sure hope we I can get Floyd -400 or below its what Im targeting for what could be one of the biggest bet I've ever made (I want to pull the trigger but its a hefty price to pay too, so Im juggling with the idea haha)
You guys having price in mind on where you would pull the trigger on Floyd? Im not asking about McGregor backers because that ship as sailed a long time ago, so much value lost for those entering right now on McGregor IMO.

Dont put all your money on one bet. Everything can happen in this fight. Of course that Floyd is favourite to win, but who knows, maybe Conor will accidently pull a dream shot into his head and knock him out

I saw @5 on Nitrogen (no idea on other sportsbooking sites). I usually giving a shot to the opponent of the heavy favorites in an international event so hoping that while the match is approaching, there will be more increase to odds for McGregor.

If you wanted McGregor the odds will only decrease, the numbers of bet placed on McGregor is insane, everybody is betting McGregor the ticket count is probably like 1000 McGregor bet for 1 Floyd bet. Like I have read somewhere, some sports book opened Mayweather a hefty -5000 and McGregor +1200. But as with other shops, a mass of McGregor cash has moved those numbers to Mayweather -605 and McGregor +352. That's why I said McGregor value as sailed a long time ago, if you want to back McGregor don't wait too long (although I think its too late already)

Mayweather will win. He likes to duck and duck and move away. And then bam! He counterpunches. McGregor is MMA. I don't know he can just do straight boxing.

Exactly. I don't think FLoyd will give him a chance to outbox him. FLoyd made all these as hi business, he can't take risk and lose. He may even have set up the referees already. He will take all these seriously and his game plan always work for someone who is too cocky.

that's style was been popularized by him, and he already got millions or billions of dollar with that strategy, let see how he will play it out from Conor as this new guy from MMA will also try his luck to win this fight for his pride and for the fans who also believes on him.

But I guess this is just part of another promotion for their fight. More "leaks" more tickets to be on sale. More publicity needs to be planned properly so that their match will be successful on whom will win.

Of course that Floyd is favourite to win, but who knows, maybe Conor will accidently pull a dream shot into his head and knock him out That "accidental" win is worth to shot to put some bets if only odds for McGregor ML is decent. That's why I said McGregor value as sailed a long time ago, if you want to back McGregor don't wait too long (although I think its too late already) I dont think that its too late to bet on Mcgregor. @5 odds is very high. It reminds me the US president election where Trump got @4 to win and finally did it

Conor may be good at MMA but he isn't in boxing. He must have forgot that Floyd is one hell of a fast guy and can decide to engage quickly and move out swiftly like he always did to most of his fights. Its a cowardly move but definitely a style of his own.
You can say that Conor is not geat at boxing only because he never fought a boxing match in his entire career but that does not mean that he does not box,Floyd might be faster in the past but now he is forty years of age and it will slow down everyone and Mayweather is no exception, just a few more days and then we will know about it.

I think McGregor will win the fight. He is younger wich is an important advantage to him. He is also more vicious. I personally will put my money on McGregor.

But on Thursday, controversy erupted after several photos from their most recent sparring session, which took place on Wednesday, began to surface on the social networks. http://i65.tinypic.com/sookly.jpgIf you focus only on the photos, it would appear that Malignaggi was knocked down and given a proper beating during the spar. Lol. I don't think so. That would be so unprofessional of him if he does that. Dick move from Mcgregor's camp, yes, but it doesn't mean the Miyagi guy should do the same. And yes, it IS a circus. This is just a dog and pony show to take your money folks. I don't think Paulie will do that. He won't leak any because he and Mayweather has somewhat a beef as well. I can't remember when it was started, but I'm sure it was something to do with Paulie calling out Mayweather for not fighting Pacquiao or something to that effect. And typically fighters brought into a camp like this are asked to sign non-disclosure agreements to prevent them from leaking information about the training sessions to reporters or on social media.
