Most of Russian trolls here in Finland are easy to spot as you, i am not sure why as they could do way better job hiding their agenda. But i am not complaining as when they are acting like mental patients they are not doing any harm.

But anyway... As a Finn, our education system has done a good job teaching media criticism in public shool and making us resistant for Russian propaganda in general. Most of us can see it from miles away as we have long history with it. We have been in information war against them since CCCP and while Russia has been using every leverage they can, their resources seem now to have depleted for the war in ukraine. There are occasional reddit and some attacks but that's mainly it.

In fact the whole illegal attack to Ukraine seem to have unified the whole Finland, lot's of peaceful hippies are regretting that they did choose civilian service instead of military service in during mandatory national conscription. People seem to have more focused of getting rid of polarisation and fake news. And while most of Finland didn't want to join into NATO just while ago, the whole attitude changed immediately after invasion.

I changed my mind that day. There wasn't really even an option for me. Putin was unhinged and just too dangerous. Not to mention the weird conservative values he holds dear.

Living next to Russia makes us scared, and things have never been this intense since our winter war (*edit* Continuation War). What scares me most is that i can't see any other way out of from this then change in leadership in Russia. In that way they either get even crazier leader or point the blame to crazy putin. There are not going to be peace with Putin, that's for sure.

Sounds like projection to me. This comment could only come from someone who doesn't live next to the border. Do you really think we are not aware what's happening next door when we have 1,340 km border with them. Do you really think we need to listen US for that and we don't have our own intelligence? In most Western countries the press is much more independent than in Russia.  In the US, anyone, including journalists from major media outlets, are free to criticize the government without having to fear going to jail or worse.

For any example of what you consider to be western media propaganda, you can find other western media arguing against it.  Hell, there are some main stream media outlets that regularly repeat Russian propaganda here.  The press has freedom to publish what they like, and the people have freedom to choose which sources they rely on for information.  That's what western media really is, fyi.
