A very nice piece of information, just coming across it now and it's good our awareness especially newbies have been drawn to this because so many persons are fraudulent in nature no matter their level of membership in here. I will always work with this information at the back of my mind.

Thank you very much for this reminder! Suitable for both beginners and professionals! I have been working with cryptocurrencies for a long time and 0.3 btc was stolen from me a month ago. I did everything as usual and noticed one small thing that don't pay attention because I've already done it 100 times and then caught me.

Alright, so I've been PM'd by a few people what red-flags to look out for since I have a pretty good track record of spotting scammers. Sometimes I get it wrong, but better safe than sorry.  Here's a couple rules to follow to avoid becoming a victim:

1. Newbies, NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH OTHER NEWBIES, EVER. There are plenty of veteran members to do business with and ALWAYS use escrow. If you're a newbie and you're doing business with another newbie, there's nearly a 100% chance that one of the parties is a scammer. I can not stress this enough.. just work with people who have been here at least a year.
2. Always use escrow.
3. See rule #2.

Got your idea man, Thank you for this.

what is escrow, explain it pls for a newbie

Escrow is a neutral 3rd party account to hold crypto during a transaction until both parties are satisfied.

Say you buy a doughnut from someone. You send the crypto to the escrow public key where it is held on the blockchain. Then you get the doughnut, and by some way notify the escrow service that you have a fresh delicious doughnut.

The service will then send the crypto to the sellers public key.

THe point to the fact is that there are lots of scams out there. Personally I would suggest u guys to follow these steps:
1. Read the whitepaper and evaluate the use cases
2. Find out everything about the project team
3. Watch their announcement on various forums
4. Follow that particular field’s experts related to ICO
5. Understand their coin distribution matrix and total supply

Some of these information are purely subjective or through personal experiences. Sometimes it is not the same in every situation but been exposed to  such information guides and directs some of us and helps us to know how to trade with individuals not only on this forum but almost everywhere.

Never trust provided TXIDs on new altcoins without block explorer. Better just wait to see the coins in your wallet and fully confirmed. Some people try to send manufactured TXIDs/screenshots to "proof" they made a payment.

Maybe you are pertaining to “scammers”. On the other hand, scammers are heading in our way to achieve the fruitful success in transactional terms due to a lot of having intentions to invest in Cryptocurrencies. Some of them are scammers and some of them are that and it is true that being fooled may lead your investments down.

Hi guys!
Cryptocurrency is really popular these days. That’s why new products keep emerging every day. Just look at Paytomat! I have been reading about this product a lot and what I can say is that Paytomat team consists of experienced crypto entrepreneurs, blockchain evangelists, retails specialists and marketers! You just have to check it out)

I thought you're going to give something valuable and important as a tip and caution to everyone but you're only advertising.]

Nice try.

Just be smart in dealing with people online, there are a lot of scanners these days.

Correct, make sure that you use someone trustworthy and has history of successful trades.
