What about litecoins? Think it will be popular, when GPU mining on bitcoins go to the end and all gpu-miners will push their radeon-power to the scrypt. I received my ASICs, but my old radeon farm is still mining litecoins

I'm currently mining Feathercoin on the Feathercoin.is-a-geek.com mining pool.  I haven't had any confirmed block rewards in the last 24 hours.  Has anyone else experienced the same?

Not sure PPCoin will work: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zI1zuhEZnHI ("What is PPCoin? (PPC/Peer to Peer coin/Peercoin/P2PCoin) - PPCoin ")

I see Ciphermine (serious litecoin miner also just listed on https://www.litecoinglobal.com/security/CIPHERMINE) is onto this new one however: http://docs.ciphermine.com/hardware-strategy-motion.txt

I should have quoted from "http://docs.ciphermine.com/hardware-strategy-motion.txt" :

"We also wish to explore mining emergent coins; at present we have one of
our smaller rigs working on Cryptogenic Bullion and hope to make a
good profit when the coin goes onto an exchange."

Nobody is sucking noobs dry. They still need your computer processor. And they still need to debug 9 million lines of code to make their client software available.

I think the only altcoins that have a chance to become popular are litecoins. People might use them for microtransactions.

My beef with alt coins is that some may indeed be improvements to bit coin, they don't improve it in any meaningful or functional way (as far as I know).  Some may be more secure or whatever, but I don't think bit coin is insecure enough for that to matter.  Hope that makes sense...

The reason for so many alt coins is evolution.

They are small birds of paradise.

I'd love to see some opinions on ZenithCoin. From what I've seen it doesn't have many improvements over bitcoin but as a privacy advocate I love that it mixes the blockchain by default  Grin

Most altcoins can be traded on exchanges such as Vircurex and btc-e. There are others but those are the ones that see higher volume at moment.

good evening sir, and thanks for the PM. Why should we spend energy using the service? Our bitcoin research and educational grants are pooled to help out individuals and institutions. Associated with the ital is vital higher-education and research camps that meet certain strict technical and business standards. IT can appear complex and technical agreements we ofter to the host country. Canada is a good place to develop ASICAUSE once you are certified and listed..Ira
