Did some poking around; at least the start of a good discussion here:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=195657.msg2057479#msg2057479

Also, coinshoose.com has some charts referenced above---but the site is acting a funky right now...

Hey guys, what is your opinion on Nutcoin?  I've been mining it, and I know a lot of others have as well, and its gaining popularity.  Unfortunately, due to Doge's rise, and that Coinye coin, its not getting nearly the attention it deserves.  IMO the dev worked hard on the coin, and hopefully it will be worth something.

Yeah, the announcement thread is not very eventful in comparison...

Its recommended value seems arbitrary, but its transaction limit would make it interesting to see how people deal with the coin.

some are still going to make it.  they just have to have something that gets people interested.  dogecoins seem to be doing well.

What is actual merit of Coinye, given that attack lawyers will be sent against every exchange that lists them? Solely as an underground currency? As a proof of the unassailable nature of the blockchain?

I'm curious if Coinyes will actually have long term value, or if they just exist to demonstrate the Streisand effect and/or the disapproval-agnostic technology.

I think the coinye will be a flash in the pan, much like doge. Not that that's a problem, they are both parts of this infant currency that is bitcoin and still could make people some money!

I agree. The media attention will make it worth a little bit and then I trade it for BTC Smiley

I don't think anyone truly believes that any other crypto currency will come to rival BTC anytime soon but as long as people have fun with it, why not?

Batcoin feels like it might be next Doge, creators are actively building community and it's only matter of time before it will hit exchanges. I'm up to 150k mining. Grin

I'm going to be mining Dogecoin once I get my 270 from newegg. I got a good grip of my parts for under 200 yesterday: MoBo, PSU, RAM, CPU. The GPU wasn't available at microcenter. The rep told me they fly in and hot like hot cakes along with the other R9 series cards. I hope to mine on fast-pool @ around 450/kh. We'll see how quick this "support" can unlock my account... I changed passwords not knowing I had auto login enable for last pass. :/

Doge Coinye and plenty of over Alt cryptocurrency might be a flash in the pan but
that does not mean you can not capitalize on the ALT coin.

There is opportunity to invest and exchange and make a profit.
