The reason that keeps me from investing in bitcoin

I would like to invest some money in bitcoin, I don't use that money and I don't need it for the next 2/3 years.
I thought I found in bitcoin the perfect way to invest. BUT when I see the fees applied I don't see how the bitcoin will become mainstream! The fees are around 1mBTC which is approximatively 3$. Therefore what is the point of bitcoin?

The only thing I see : big amount transaction

But bitcoin won't be the money you use to buy your sandwich with those fees!

I saw a post saying: yeah burger king is willing to accept bitcoin in russia. Hopefully mcdonald will follow ! But why would someone pay 3$ fee therefore a third of his burger king menu in fee?

Will segwit may lower the fees?

But now the fees are really large and people use bitcoin to transfer large sums of money, but soon the network will be launched bitcoin Protocol Lightning Network and the Commission drops to 0. However still not enough shops accept bitcoin for payment :/

Yes investing is risky.  So you will just invest the amount you can afford to lose.  And you always have to monitor the price of bitcoin as to avoid possible collapse.  But we saw how bitcoin is doing.  Its performance for the past years just shows that it continue to grow.

Accept your lose before start to trading, this is the requirement to help you avoid feel regret, boring and want to give up all after take big lose. Of course, no one wants to has loses, but the fact no one can not avoids it.

On the day you wrote this, BTC was selling around $2542. Right now, it's around $6100. That's 139% gain. How does a $3 fee compare to that? Besides, it would be stupid to buy a sandwich with bitcoin anyway. That's what fiat is for.

Bitcoin is in a special class of his own,its the Gold of this age,I recommend  you have some savings as Bitcoin and safe for future purpose, all other fiat can be invested into Altcoin with prospect,that can become profitable in less tahn 6month.

Right.Investing in bitcoin might be risky but if you don't try to invest,you won't experience too its huge profit that will really change a man's life once it will be hitted.So i suggest just be fair.Learn to monitor the value of bitcoin and then invest some of your earnings.Save bitcoins also so you will have a double profit in the end.

3$ fee is the only thing that prevents you from investing in bitcoin? The day you posted this thread (June 29) Bitcoin price was 2500$, today the price became 6100$.
You were able to double your investment (2.5 times) if you just forgot about the 3$ fee. Anyway, transaction fees will be reduced, I heard that bitcoin community are working on that issue.

If transaction fees alone is the reason why you are not already investing into bitcoins then am sure that should you later invest you are going to cut your losses and run should the price of bitcoin go down in the first place, any veteran user of bitcoins knows that the fees charged for transaction is not stable at all times and it goes up and down at all times. This shouldn't be a hindrance if you want to invest.

The confirm time is going to take 10 minutes for your transaction if you send a good fee, but ten minutes is an eternity in the physical world and that needs to be solved.

There are fees with all investments, Bitcoin or crypto is no different.
Jump in to a Stocks and Shares platform and buy Funds, there's a charge. Buy shares, there is a charge, buy gold a charge is levied and probably storage as well. Buy fiat, there is a spread.
Why is the OP opposed to paying someone to do ther transaction?

investing in bitcoin is the best move you take, put it in mind that bitcoin value will increase in the next 2-3 years as you will not use them just keep them and in time that you decide to sell them there is a huge amount of money out of it, in that case you wont mind the fees that youre saying, dont use it in daily expenses instead use it as an investment/savings and them exchange them when the value of bitcoin is very high and you will feel how bitcoin really works..

Exactly, that's why I am with bitcoin for long time.It didn't disappointed me and it's price always goes up in a month or two.O can remember when I first invest on bitcoin it's price was about $900 and now it has crossed $7000 just in a year.So investors are really happy with bitcoin and keep investing on bitcoin.So I didn't find any reasons to not invest on bitcoin.Investing on bitcoin is very profitable so I will keep investing on bitcoin.
