I'm asking around, but for starters you could use the statistics here (ether created by genesis block) and add to it (5 * number of blocks since genesis) http://ether.fund/marketSo that would be (at this moment) 60,102,216 + (5 * 48945) = 60,346,941

The total balance in the genesis block is 72009990 Ether.
My bad...you're right! Forgot about the dev ether purchases etc.

It's my mistake: So that would be (at this moment) 72,009,990 + (5 * 48945) = 72,254,715 Also could you change the name to Ether instead of Ethereum...I was just really screwing things up this morning when I submitted the form!!

Looks good! It's indeed 5 Ether per block and average block time 15 seconds.

400,000 Satoshi Ethereum price difference between poloniex and Kraken. Please add Poloniex to Ethereum exchanges very soon.

Why have you total supply as 72,275,505 ETH if there is no hard cap? 60 million ETH at launch. inflation / mining: 7200 blocks per day x 5 Ether-per-block. = 36,000 ETH/day. (or 13.1 million new Ether mined per year, fixed supply). No hard cap.

"The existing Visa credit card network processes about 15 million Internet purchases per day worldwide. Bitcoin can already scale much larger than that with existing hardware for a fraction of the cost. It never really hits a scale ceiling." Why doesn't ETH have the "** Significantly Premined" associated with it due to this significant premine? The total amount of coins is 72 million when it should be around 60 million to date. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1147063.msg12088443#msg12088443Edit: 60 mil premine 12 mil hidden premine

Hidden? It was certainly disclosed in their ICO documents, I remember reading it. I don't know what the rules are for that ** marker though. Apparently huge scams like BCN with phony blockchains don't count. Who knows about ETH.

How is it not a cryptocurrency? Etherium is a tool way beyond Bitcoin but Ether is also a coin just like bitcoin. That said, I am not invested in any alt coin and hold my horses until we have an Etherium that works as a Bitcoin sidechain. Meanwhile thanks for all the alt-coiners to fuel this field of experimentation but don't dilute the store of value proposition of bitcoin by throwing tens of millions at some one-man shows. Do your math and keep the incentives right. An average dev will be more than happy to earn a few 100k per year and a million in advance is certainly too much.
