In the coming future I believe only one will become an acceptable cryptocurreny. It only depends upon the government of each and every country on what will they use for exchange in the market. the same time how much will go for the taxes or fees for example transaction purchases. As of now I think bitcoin is one that leads this cryptocurrency industry it is what I say "brand calling" any other altcoins are much more related to bitcoin. Today though its not yet recognised in the Government it remains virtual.

I think it has a future with its growing popularity in the virtual world. All it needs is for the government all over the nations should choose one or two altcoins to be used globally. The future of altcoins I think also has a high dependency rate from where it was developed. If it aims for longterm business results then it should be aiming at a bright future ahead in the market. Who knows this might be one of the newest development in this generation.

Yeah as a newbee I first bought some btc but the more I read about xrp I think it has potential to be big over next 5 years as a tool for banks. Long term though need a fully decentralized coin

Haha, I think the price fluctuation of altcoin and the growth percent make the newbie people want to invest in altcoin. 100, 200 or even 300% per day, with Bitcoin, it is impossible. But in past days, the price of some altcoins increased with those percents. Litecoin, Ripple, Verge ... are the altcoin pumped to high price within short time. |

But in past days, the price of some altcoins increased with those percents. Litecoin, Ripple, Verge ... are the altcoin pumped to high price within short time. well I am also very surprised yesterday the price of litecoin and ripple is greatly improved and it certainly gives advantages which can exceed the bitcoin if only normal trading hopefully we all always can profit in wrestling in this cryptocurrency world |

I think that only 5% of altcones will survive in the next few years. But by this time there will be hundreds or even thousands of newcomers, so the average number of violas will be the same or increase.

Some altcoins do but most altcoins will probably die in the future like the websites that shown up during the internet boon.
Even if the altcoins don't have a future right now they are making people a lot of money so it might be worth joining some short term.

In my opinion, altcoins have a future if it isn't just a clone of bitcoin. A newly launched altcoin needs a real problem solving value else it is very hard to keep up with established other coins.
Networking and marketing of big other coins (speaking of top 25 coins in market cap) is already so big that new ones will struggle to find interested ears.

I believe altcoin will have a better future soon, they are dominated by bitcoin prices over the years, but its price is rising at a much higher rate than bitcoin, so I think in a few years from now the price is sure to go down and more people should use altcoins instead.  |

It's an improvement form of the bitcoin itself, look at so many people are using it right now because that has even better scalability than bitcoin, less on the fees and fast in the confirmation. Look at the fact that majority of people are looking for the more scalable crypto right now. |

altcoin for now does have a good future and I am sure if in the next few days will have a good future it is not impossible because at this time altcoin has many different types and different price variations.

Altcoins quite often solve some narrow tasks. I think that the future is for systems built on top of the main blockbuster Ethereum, which will make transactions even cheaper and faster.

Yes they do, and some Altcoins will be the future of Cryptoworld imho.
Look at Ethereum and Ripple for instance. Strong coins with high potential and capabilities, good technology that is used by people around the global today.

All of them have the future but how and with what qualities. That's the deal with them, otherwise it's almost impossible for one promising project not to expand to the next stages. All will gain momentum eventually. |
