There's no doubt that Altcoin will definitely have a good future. Many people are going in the field of investing in Altcoins. Many are already became rich with Altcoins. If this will continue to happen, the altcoin will surely have its way to the top.

why not? They develop fast enough, maybe they won't be so much decentralized but the technology will be used for sure.

Bitcoin have future thats for sure. I do believe that there will be some alts standing still not just LTC and ETH but these as well: DASH, DOGE, XMR, ZCASH

There will be more of them. But the point is and will stay prob most of the alts will exist in the future for the people to gamble upon, to create fake value. We all know that most of them were made for profit and nothing else.
Certainly, crypto currency is the future. There are still so many things coming out this year.

Certainly altcoins with very strong project backings and proposition for everyday use will definitely survive. As we all know this is a decentralized space and its consensus that rules.

is called altcoin any smaller network that will compete with the function of Bitcoin (BTC) as currency. Thus, litecoin is a altcoin while Bitmessage not, although this is inspired by the Bitcoin technology. The Ripple system is not a altcoin, although there is a ripple altcoin call (XRP) inseparable from it.

Every altcoin has a future but it depends on its popularity and value. Altcoins have the same purpose in digital currency but you can choose few of them  which is better.

I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.

What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?

I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.

If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.

not all, for now i just see for ethereum, litecoin and ripple which have potential in the future and can survive for long time. these three coins always grow up and have a popularity which increase every years. but yeah for now no one altcoin can replace bitcoin position.

Altcoins definitely have a future. Most of them are overhyped and overvalued, but there are legit ones with actual tech and product , solving real world issues. Those will be the ones that can survive in the long term.

The future of blockchain and Crypto is not through Bitcoin alone but also in altcoins as well.
Yes, I do believe that altcoins have a really good future and most of them especially top altcoins like Ethereum, Ripple, NEO, Monero and other high market capital values today.
In fact, my future is even brighter because of the altcoins that I have since last year.

I don't agree, altcoins isn't only focused on the Ethereum and Altcoins are the coins that is not Bitcoin so, Bitcoin dominance is only 30% for daily average cryptocurrency trades so soon, altcoins would dominate in the market and Bitcoin will be on the average state of the crypto market.
Ethereum isn't the only strongest Crypto in the market today but also Neo, Ripple, LiteCoin and other top altcoins in the market today.

Different altcoins are needed in the diversity of the trading market, and also to increase the price of bitcoin, I think altcoin still has its own role, if we look from various perspectives then altcoin is divided into two: these one that have real business, and those that appears only for profit and then disappear.

Altcoins has a future, but most ICOS are going to crash and burn down obviously the bubble market for now. Just take a look at the ad page here on bitcointalk, a million scamcoin projects, and most of them end up being funded.

No doubt there, just not everyone! However, I think they are quite a lot, at least for today. In 2017, hundreds of worthy altcoins appeared, I can not even imagine how many will be in 2018-2019. We will hope that everything will be fine on the crypto market! I wish everyone good luck and for more worthy projects.

Altcoins without a doubt have a bright future. They don't even represent "other currencies" as much as many of them represent a completely different blockchain project. If bitcoin is going to succeed then so will many projects built with the same train of thought. Here is one project that is working on making crypto mainstream, first by helping make the market less volatile.
