I agree that Bitcoin has a future in the long term. Bitcoin is reliable and it has long established itself as a time-tested coin. But he  does not solve all the problems that some other cryptocurrencies solve. I think the future lies in the symbiosis of Bitcoin and Altcoins. Bitcoin will play the role of gold in the cryptocurrency world, and other cryptocurrencies will solve some other problems.

Of altcoins, there are many promising coins such as Monero moero ETH Dash. In my opinion bitcoin is best suited for long-term investment, but you can use Altcoins to trade and earn a lot of money.

I guess this question is not relevant any more Smiley
The author started it half a year ago. BTC is not as strong nowadays and new alts start every day. They are more functional than BTC and there are some very prospect among them.

I doubt the actual market leaders are able to comply another purpose than being an investment without the purpose to act as a real currency. So yes, there needs to be an alternative in order to challenge our current financial system.

I think market is in the palm of whales hands. Market makers play like a toy. Money brings money, smaller investors just have to wait i suppose.

Absolutely yes, while the service is demanded and the exchange rate is good enough!

I support your opinion, because at the moment there really is no competitive currency in the market, it's just funny parodies and everything.

some altcoins have a future but most altcoins will die in time. this is obvious though. some projects can't survive because either their competitors are better or their purpose is unwanted. we see too many scam coins also, they will get lost in shorter time.

Nolan Bauerle, research director at CoinDesk, says 90% of cryptocurrencies today will not survive a crash in the markets. Those that survive will dominate the game and boost returns for early investors. And those returns are substantial, if one were to believe RBC Capital’s estimate of a future $10 trillion market for cryptocurrencies.

Yes if its true. But the problem is how we can make sure that the service is demanded and the exchange is good enough.
In my blind believe, i trust the good developed altcoin will really have future but nowdays there are some issue regarding the exchange so how we can make sure that will not happen again?

I think yes, some Altcoin can really have a future like Ethereum and Bitcoin because there lot of person who use this Altcoin. The future of altcoin is based on the users because it will not be successful if no one uses it.

Something like a new or innovative idea that is unique and has never been done. If alternative coins have all this. Then I can say it really has a chance to succeed Good for me, I think that every altcoin has a chance to have a great future. It depends on the developer and the project behind it or the platform. .

I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.

What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?

I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.

If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.
I can live the good life from my job. I bought in with about a day's wages at middle class income in 2011. The money has grown over 200 fold since. Enough for a shiny toy or a modest house in midwest suburbia but not life changing. I won't touch it until it's grown another 200 fold. Much more than that and we're in world-war territory as fiat everywhere fails. No one will have a good life then. This was my original plan, actually. I didn't buy it to get rich or to live the good life, nor did I buy it to change the world. I bought it because the world is changing, because bitcoin is disruptive and dangerous, and because I needed to hedge against the consequences. I may never sell.

Almost all are start up so that really requires time in order for this to succeed.
It's not an overnight success and I think it's good watching them develop through time so they are more stronger and will gain
an increasing supporters. HODL because when bitcoin was young, the price was cheap, it will happen with Altcoins soon.

Altcoins really have a future. But we need to be very careful in choosing which altcoins to invest in. It is true that there are fly by night altcoins especially during the ICOs. Being careful and cautious will make sure that we won't  fail.

Yes, I do believe that altcoins will have a bright future. Altcoins continues to develop and make their technologies more advanced and more like “user-friendly”, that’s why people trust them and gives altcoins support that it needs. Unsuccessful coins will die in time, but the few best ones will survive and continue to compete with each other.

I believe it's all just a matter of time. Bitcoin has been known because it's the first among all that have been discovered and people used it first. All other altcoins will have their own time if we people would help them to be known to others.
