Do Altcoins really have a future?

yes some famous altcoin have a future, if some one hold so many years then must be he get bright future. some altcoin like

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.

The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

 Yes, Alts do have a future, not all will make it but those with good project plans and good development teams behind them will have a good run, most will however not survive the market

Bitcoin definitely it is the leader of all, however its usage is very limited. There is scaling issue and transfer fees issues and many more to come. That is why it is good to have other altcoins to help bitcoin for mainstream adoption. Like litecoin is a similar coin of bitcoin, but litecoin is very active in developing new technology like the recent atomic swap and lightning network, this makes the community to experiment with the new technology before it is safe to implement on the main bitcoin.

Yes for me of course it does have a future. Knowing that altcoins is getting popular nowadays. Especially ethereum, they built a new a better image of the altcoins their potential is almost like the bitcoins. Some investors of bitcoins are also investing on ethereum. I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.

I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.

If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.

I think that ethereum is having future but not any other Altcoin is having any future as most of the altcoins are just pump and dump schemes and are for quick profit in short term and there are no advantages of holding the coins in long term other than bitcoin.
But ethereum is having a very different concept and also is working quiet smoothly and without any issues, but still in believe that it is overvalued right now and I think that we should not invest in ethereum.

Of course they do. it sounds like you just phishing for confirmation that holding only bitcoin is a good choice. Not that that is a bad choice.

I also would guess by "future" you mean financial success of a booming coin price which is not necessarily the same thing as bringing a good use case with better/different tech than bitcoin.

Well, not all. But we should remember that Litecoin, for example, is better than Bitcoin for payment. Monero anonymous and we have a lot of examples.
But it's only payment currencies.
Ethereum, EOS, Bitshares, Siacoin - here a lot of projects which have incredie future. Long-term.
And, maybe, we won't see Bitcoin dominance one day.
