Do you set up limits for yourself?

I didn't set up a limit before because I thought I could win back the losses I had when I was gambling but realized on the latter part that the more I gamble the more losses I had instead of winning. So I told myself to set a limit every time I gamble, no regrets just play with fun.

Setting a limit for yourself will also help in preventing yourself to get addicted in playing. It acts as a reminder that if you reached or have used that certain amount then it is time for you stop. Once a gambler get addicted, it will be very hard to avoid and to prevent yourself from playing.

I also think that setting up a limit helps in the management of your money as well as yourself. Budgeting money is very hard especially if you have a big family to support so it will be wise to allocate first your money for important things before gambling.

It seems to me that gambling is still a dependency and has established for itself some element, it will be very hard for a person to stick to it. I wonder Can a person do as planned? It seems to me that gambling still takes its toll.

If you do have a family then its not really good for you to engage on gambling even we do say that we do have full control on ourselves on playing it but we cant be sure if addictions would come or not into ourselves. I do have my own family thats why i dont really risk my money on gambling no matter how small it is.

Its hard to set up limits in gambling, my only limit is with how much I will start gambling. I try to not go with all I have (that happened few times), when I deposit I'm ready to lose all, if I increase my bankroll I change the game and increase bets.
Few times I lost deposited, then deposited again and lose again and third time when I'm all in with last of the bitcoins I have I win back all what I have lost and make double profit. Not in all games you can see your bets within minutes, for example, sports betting that takes longer to see the results so se up tthe limit on the sports betting is very difficult to run well, sooner or later it will be violated by ourselves.

I do, I limit myself to play gambling with my money, I can't imagine if I'm not limit myself, because gambling is have more chance you will lose and I hate lose.
I do some "checkpoint" amount, for example: I have 0.1 btc(which I can afford to lose) to make a bet, if I lose 50% of the amount I will stop for a moment, if I win 30% of the amount I will stop and withdrawal 30-50% of the amount (capital+profit).

That is very good, if you are in winning streak then you will probably win but if the luck and streak is bad then setting a o limit ca be disastrous. I even set a limit like 0.01BTC on each game, no matter what is the confidence i always play with this amount, and i also donot bet more than 0.05BTC a day in sportsbook.

for some people who have got addicted already it might would be so useless setting up any limitation in the game , as you would just ignore it . greedy beat every single effort you make. but at least you want to give it a try? then be by guess , it might work for you but as a friendly reminder you shouldn't gamble too much for money when you realize you are vulnerable to get addicted on anything make you happy.

i play sports betting, its hard to set limit the reason is sport betting running in long term, not in matter of second.
if you can limit gambling in sports betting, i need to learn from you, since i never can do it in sports betting.

Actually i also set a limit to play gambling. But sometimes the situation will demand me to put some extra money this no body can control. I think most of the gamblers are like me. But when I increase my bankroll means when I am sure about my odds, and I am confident that I will win that bet that time I will increase or else I will stick with my limit.
