I set limits for anything I do in life that could effect my finances. When it comes to gambling it is best done responsibly I always set a limit. And if I am to lose that limit i will "LEAVE" or "GO HOME" because at the end of the day, what fun is it loosing everything you brought. If you can not afford to buy a beer before you leave then you should have left a long time ago. Casinos will always have the house advantage. play responsibly and always set a win/loss limit!!!

Setting some limitations or controlling yourself is the key to not losing a lot, you can also set some "profit goals" and stop playing when you reach it. As to myself, I sometimes limit myself, but most of the time, I just don't care until I get busted, which makes me really sad, but still repeat it.

I set limits for everything I do in life. You do not want to go into a poker, or any casino playing blind. Always set a limit as yyou may spend $500 and only win $200. In the end you loose $300

Yes I have never gambled more than 50$ at one sitting. Thats my psychological limit. I don't mind losing 50$ and I can gamble for hours with that amount. As long as the result is minus fifty dollars I am happy with it as an entertainment value.

 This topic is sooooo me. I have ALWAYS talked about how you should have limits and slow play it. I put 50$ deposit on any game I play and I play with amount as much as allowed until I feel like I am ready to gamble and put like 20 cents or so at the line each time even for that.

This would require me to lose 250+ times in order to finish my money all together. I feel like that won't happen at all (never happened but who knows) so I gamble with the same amount of 50$ for weeks and sometimes months.

Yes and it's your best way to avoid losing all that you have. I make sure that the money that only that I will gamble is the final amount and I will not be tempted to get another amount. If I'm going to gamble with bitcoin, I turn the rest to cash so I have no other bitcoins to gamble and return if I lose.
