Do you think they are talking about bitcoin in your basic ECON class?
i think they don't because not all people know about bitcoin and they need more explain before they are understand what is bitcoin and how to use bitcoin. i think in future we can see this is happen and bitcoin is not just for economic class like we've seen before. bitcoin is for every people who wants to make real money from doing many things with bitcoin. But that is the reason why the bitcoin will become a part of economic class. Think about it, the professor will teach it for the student to learn it. It is good for them to become aware to what is the bitcoin. |

Currently, not active here in our country and not part of the curriculum but teachers or professors can mentioned it. I see no problem about that. Im not into school days anymore but I think maybe at least even by 5-10% it was being mentioned in college. Good way to spread information too especially if the teacher or professor is really a cryptocurreny enthusiast. |

There are college classes that include discussions about Bitcoin. I think I heard that there are even some schools that have classes specifically about cryptocurrencies. It is something that that generation needs to learn about because it's here to stay. |

Bitcoin has nowadays become main steam of economic development.So some business schools have started adding bitcoin in their syllabus.Bitcoin has become unavoidable nowadays because of its huge progress and its unmatchable block chain technology which were even adopted by banking sectors even though they think bitcoin as their main rival.

Bitcoin in most economics class (at schools), is mentioned only as off-topic, it's not a part of the class content, it's just speculation for now. Would be nice to have more people talking about Bitcoins and its technology on the classes, teaching to others how BlockChain works, its story... I am one who would like to join a class about this subject, as it's hard to learn only by reading on the internet, I would prefer to ask the teacher many doubts regarding Bitcoin.  |

As a student of economics, I'm really hopeful that Bitcoin is becoming a profitable and valuable investment sector day by day, it has been popular in recent times not only that but also Bitcoin is getting accepted in different types of private and social stage. So Bitcoin will play an important role in the future..

I'm no longer studying so I can't tell if this is ever being mentioned it class though I haven't heard any school in my country that this is included in the curriculum. It's more likely that the professor might mention it in passing or use it to illustrate a topic but I doubt that's happening now. If it's not that well known yet in America, you can just expect how many people have heard of it in a third-world country.
I suppose it would be a "trickle down", where academia start noticing it and begin talking about it in university till it gets to the point that it is being mention in high school.

I feel just like any new technology it will take some time for the school boards to come around and see the importance of being educated about not just a fad, but an important aspect of their economies future. You can see something similar happening with 3D printers. They used to be focused around a niche market of people who could afford to spend thousands of dollars to bu them but now at lot more schools( mainly universities and colleges right now) are buying 3D printers and and installing them in libraries as well as implementing basic operation and function course units into their workshop classes. Its because they recognized its importance in the future that the same should happen to Bitcoin eventually, but for the moment there is just far too much speculation and uncertainty surrounding it for schools to take a step towards it.

All that today we have a girlfriend, thanks to high technology, makes life much easier for us. The fact is that at school science is very outdated and everything needs to be sent in order to keep up with what we have today. |

It might not be the perfect time right now to include bitcoin in lectures or in course outlines because it is not yet a well known currency. There must also be a clear guide on how to introduce bitcoin properly so it wouln't create an impression of something being used for illegal activities.

bitcoin is becoming a profitable right now and many of us is make bitcoin as their investment and not sold their bitcoin for a long time. i believe that bitcoin is not for one level stage for the community but bitcoin is for every people which want to use and no matter their works or who they are, they can still used bitcoin for many purpose. i agree that bitcoin will becoming famous in the future so many people is using bitcoin to buy something or just to hold in their wallet. |

Gotta go back to school to make sure.  But I dont really think so. I dont think it is covered yet with that subject. Plus the fact that school teachers are too busy to be attached with such a thing. Maybe they know it but it wont be allowed to be shared in the school that can cause the students to have some trouble understanding what economics is really like. We know there is much difference with how bitcoin market is going on. |

Definitely not. I really doubt that bitcoin is covered in university economics courses right now let alone your basic economics classes. Plus, the governments obviously have a conflict of interest as they want to retain their control over the economy and teaching people about bitcoin will totally contradict their interests in keeping an active hand on the economy as it is decentralized. Instead of asking for schools to implement bitcoin in economic classes, i'd actually want to see more bitcoin seminars where bitcoin newbies can come in and learn about everything bitcoin related for free or for a small fee. That would be very interesting. |

Who knows. There are lots of classes session in the world and thousands of teachers and students involved. There are times that they are having a discussions outside their subject so possibility of talking about bitcoin is there. In a class of 70 plus 1 instructor, we can bet that even one of them knows about cryptocurrency. That single person will now asked some questions about the familiriaty of bitcoin to his/her colleagues and that will be now the start of talking about bitcoin in the class. |

No , because I am making my study in the economic at master level but no one told us about the Bitcoin and also no one explained us that their can be anything in the future that can improve our life with better money management system . But once a seminar was made in the University where I was to be presented with any of the economic topic , so I thought about To tell about Bitcoin money . Everything goes good for me because I know everything about Bitcoin and I told them in a perfect way to all the people in the stage camp . So I think this is we are who can teach the world about Bitcoin in our local community where people are not aware for such types of things . |

Not that i'm aware of no. You have to understand that bitcoin is still in its early stges and there are certainly very little people that know about it. To teach bitcoin they would have to rewrite the entire syllabus to match the content and hire new teachers that actually have knowledge about bitcoin. I wouldn't ask for this much at the moment, but i think what is doable is to have an entire chapter devoted to decentralized economics. They don't even need to talk about bitcoin, they can talk about precious metals for example which is incredibly similar to bitcoin structrually imo. |

I am not sure if they are talking about Bitcoin in the basic economics class, but B schools are showing interest. There are separate electives relating to Bitcoin / blockchain in some of the leading business schools. Yes, it is already happening; I have come across many such university courses and here is the one : https://www.coursera.org/learn/cryptocurrencyWhen real world applications are adopting bitcoins and blockchain technologies, there will be no wonder that academic bodies are coming up with such courses/electives. I believe these type blockchain based studies will boost researches on it which might lead to take bitcoins into new levels. |

well, when it comes in the economic subject many schools are not talking about bitcoins because in our class this was never discussed. But then, i can say that in some universities/school bitcoin is very popular today because it is considered as money and it was related to economics. |

A Bitcoin economics class would be very a good course in my opinion. It will surely open the minds of the students and make them realize that value isnt just what the current system tells you, while at the same time, also questioning what really gives something its value.
Its like the chicken and the egg problem. Luckily BTC went beyond that.
