Is there any way i can backup the complete wallet including blocks not just the wallet file?

yes there is shut off your DeepOnion wallet wait at least 2 min then restart the computer.   copy your entire roaming folder DeepOnion to a jump drive or another drive.  when you are
done updating just drop the whole folder into the roaming folder and start your onion wallet up.

If you have multi wallets to back up then on a jump drive put each one in its own seperate folder and name the folder.

How does the referral work? When I first saw DeepOnion, I saw a banner clicked on it, and went to the ANN thread. I didn't create an account right away, I first read about, read a lot of the comments. Would the person with the banner that I clicked on benefit from such a scenario?

Technically you're correct, realistically it's horrible advice.

Grab the whole wallet.dat, dumping the private key is asking for trouble unless you are absolutely certain there are no hidden change addresses.
File -> Backup Wallet is simple and the best advice for newer users.

3years 9 months in crypto and i have never made a mistake making backups of wallet.dat per wallet in my care.    This computer has about 200 wallets on it
and removing all the keys for all the wallets would take forever so i just backup wallet.dat per wallet.

This had been explained before. There is a lot of abuse in the trust system that has been pointed at him to FUD the project. Ignore it, the trust system is broken.
