Quick questions guys, ive bought some onions and move them in wallet, i can see them in spendable but they are also in unconfirmed since 2 days now.  

All my balance is in spendable but all the coins ive bought are also in unconfirmed.  Ive did a rescan and still there, close the wallet as well, ive also deleted the whole database and resync from block 0

Any idea?

Sorry to say I am leaving you guys and the signature campaign today, as some unforeseen personal reasons have forced me to sell of some of my cryptos.

I will miss the positive community and the smart distribution model of the coin.

What I will not miss is the constant nervousness of missing one of the many changes to the rules, or the fear of being excluded for arbitrary reasons as many seem to have been. These developments also seem to have turned the community more hostile, with people turning on each other and accusing one another for various faults, not being a loyal enough supporter etc. Possibly because of greed, knowing that if others are banned, the remaining participants will get more of the cake. This fortunately only applies to a minority of supporters.

That being said, I think that all in all the community has potential for great organic growth, if a reasonable enough amount of new participants are let in. The project might be a success story, and I wish you all the best. Make reasonable community decisions, and you will succeed in building a large user base.

If price really bother you this much, you should really consider finding a more soothing hobby.  

The price is just the markets view of the probability of DeepOnion becoming a viable anonymous currency sometime in the future. It might become very valuable and it might become worthless. Following the price day to day is meaningless. In the end its all about the technology and wether the community is strong enough for DeepOnion to make impact in the world. If you cant afford that the coins become worthless, just sell and don't worry. If you believe in the project you can buy more, or be active in other ways. Speculation on price is meaningless.

I've only participated in 1 ICO, and frankly speaking, the difference between them and DeepOnion is stark. The ICO ended, and they didn't even have a wallet ready for release! I mean, c'mon....you don't even have a wallet? You gained millions upon millions of dollars, and you couldn't even ensure a working wallet by the time the ICO ended?

You then look at DO, good technology, no ICO, working wallet, new paper wallet added, etc, etc, etc....

ICO's are, in my opinion, ultra high risk, and I can see why many countries are turning their backs on them.

Why should ICO have a wallet? most of them don't, they use Ethereum platform for their token. They are mostly companies, not cryptocurrency.

DeepOnion wallet is a copy pasta of Bitcoin Plus. Anyone can copy some code, change the logo/text and claim they have a working wallet.

The problem is of course DeepOnion have no development skills, so far all the commits are text change

Beside of that almost every coin is just a idea copy of Bitcoin with more or less advantages...

DeepOnion will weather the storm because it has a strong community backing the coin. Other privacy coins do not have this benefit so it is always best to stick with the onion - it will grow!

No idea actually, but if coins are spendable and you are not in the airdrop with this address you could try to send your whole stack to yourself with a new address maybe?

I don't know if it's possible, but maybe worth asking for a hiatus and return when/if things turn around for you.

Why people keep sh*tting their pants everytime a major goverment bans a part or aspect of crypto?
We already know goverments are no crypto- friendly, they just allow the cryptocurrency because ban it and enforce the ban is too hard and expensive

Ok well i think ill leave it that way, maybe it will solve itself with time, not sure why its doing this.  I think that if i resend that it will only create more problems.

It does seem like a solid choice. Engaged community, good tech etc.I have been mining the coin a bit and enjoying so far.
Wish the airdrops process was a bit less convoluted as would be more likely to attract real HODLs who can afford not sell at the first downturn, but I guess you have to make it that way to avoid scammers....
