So I have 2 cousins. One of them doesn't save and is a huge spender while the other is a saver and spends only once a year. So would bitcoin be a good way to teach them about saving? Since, mining bitcoin is the only way to make alot of bitcoin, I would use a alt wallet to show them what happens if you spend and don't save. What do you think?
When it comes to teaching kids it is better to keep things simple so if you need to try to explain them about  decentralization, the blockchain, inflation, market cap, and things with that they are going to get confused, it is better to use some bills and teach them about saving that way.
i think there is nothing wrong to teach to kids about bitcoin only for the sake of learning bitcoin currency we can use bitcoin online trading and investment and therefore i do not think that there is any reason to teach to kids about bitcoin too much. i think they should concentrate toward their study only.
but i do not think that currently children has any concern with bitcoin, if currently bitcoin is not using for shopping in our local area there they do not have any thing to do with bitcoin. i think they should continue their study and first to complete it. and when bitcoin will become so much popular and people start using it in local shops for shopping i think then they should learn about bitcoin and should try to use it for shopping purposes only.

I think yes. Because if they will know that if they save or hold their earning on bitcoin they will have greater opportunity to earn more because bitcoin's price is continuously rising as time passes by. They just need patience to wait for that moment. And also, earning bitcoin is not that instant as wha they are thinking so they will think to save it for the best.

Isn't the time to teach them about bitcoin, it's okay to teach them how to save of what their parents give to them not by doing things to have profit or any investment. Getting into bitcoin world isn't easy as you think and it isn't fit for the young minds, I think they can't handled it. Give your kids a chance to enjoy of what they are today, someday they can learn it when the time is come and if they want.

Yeah thats is true, when bitcoin can not be used to shop in local store, I think child can not be exemplified to know bitcoin. Because if you tell them about bitcoins other than currency, maybe they will be confused. I do not think there's any urgency to tell kids about it

but at least they can saving bitcoin if we create one wallet for them so we can teach more about bitcoin and we can hope that when they are grow, they can ready to used bitcoin. beside that, if we help them to save from now, then when they are grow up, i am sure that the bitcoin price will be increase than now so they can have bitcoin already to spend or to withdraw to cash.

I don't think it can teach kids about saving...kids are more interested in playing I don't think they could understand bitcoin as early as now..we can itroduce it to them later when they are teenagers

It maybe helpful in terms of saving if they would know the benefit of holding or saving bitcoin for a long period of time because as soon as you save bitcoin, a large feedback will come because bitcoin's price is continuously rising  providing more opportunities to have a large count of money. So if you tell them that saving with the use of bitcoin will help them to gain more money than the usual, they will surely realize that saving is a great thing to do.

Nope I think little kids will not understand if you explain complicated things like investing, online trading, etc. Maybe they will understand a bit if you explain that bitcoin is the currency and you can save money in bitcoin but the problem bitcoin has not been accepted anywhere, so it will be difficult to exemplify how to shop with bitcoin, like shopping with fiat

Yes. It would be better to show them the technology for saving and earning. It will help them depending in how you deliver the idea to them. It would be very beneficial to them and also make them to realize the real world. But not too much, it may cause them to be overdependent with that and also lose focus on their studies, just teach them with limitation and balance

As mentioned there is no urgency to teach kids about saving with the help of the bitcoin. Bitcoin is all about the technology platform, so it's better to teach them about the technology. Automatically kids will generate ways to earn and save good. First itself while teaching kids need to be taught with restrictions in usage.

Excuse me? The op wasn’t asking about that...you’re really going out of point, cause nobody is talking deflation, inflation and decentralization. These are kids, what they are studying in school is enough for their head to carry.

He should simply say to them “I have something for you guys, and it’s bitcoin. You leave your money in it and it grows big” that way,the children will be more excited to check it out. If they ask him what is Bitcoin, he should simply say to them it’s a kind of currency that is different from the one we use. Simple and Short in a way they can understand.

I think its a good idea if you are going to show to them on what can be the result of saving and not saving their money that they get. But using a bitcoin as an example i think there would become a problem on it because you need to explain more to them what bitcoin is so that they will understand what you want to say to them.

Yes! it would help them for sure. If you can get them interested in bitcoin after explaining all you know about it to them and they start earning bitcoin for themselves, I'm sure sooner or later they will know how to save. I can say this for sure because if they will be earning bitcoin for themselves, they will know when to withdraw or convert it to local currency properly, they will know when is the appropriate time to do so to take full advantage of the bitcoin that they earned.

Yes, i think so. Bitcoin can teach kids about saving but still with the guidance of elders.
And they must learn first how bitcoin works, they must understand it first, then teach them to make a wise decision where and when is the right time to spend and to save.

Do you mean investing in bitcoin is a form of saving money. You invest a small amount of money and wait for the profits to sell or raise daily bitcoins to save money. Young people have many ways to make money depending on their strengths and abilities.

I think it would, but it's easier to teach kids to save if you will use simpler ways because kids have a small span of focus time. And, kids might not even be interested in bitcoin since bitcoin is to complex. It would be great if they will learn it through games or simply by giving them a piggy bank. It's good to teach kids to save while they are young because it would help them in the future.

Yes, i think it's a good idea to teach them about saving, but you should search for a better way to explain in to your cousin so they can understand. That cousin of yours will be delighted to get something that can increase in value if they don't spend.

When it comes to teaching kids it is better to keep things simple so if you need to try to explain them about  decentralization, the blockchain, inflation, market cap, and things with that they are going to get confused, it is better to use some bills and teach them about saving that way.
i think there is nothing wrong to teach to kids about bitcoin only for the sake of learning bitcoin currency we can use bitcoin online trading and investment and therefore i do not think that there is any reason to teach to kids about bitcoin too much. i think they should concentrate toward their study only.
but i do not think that currency children has any concern with bitcoin, if currently bitcoin is not using for shopping in our local area there they do not have any thing to do with bitcoin. i think they should continue their study and first to complete it.
Lol yeah it never hurts to explain bitcoin in small children that bitcoin is an investment and online trading, but what you do it is a useless thing. Small children will not understand about investment let alone online trading. You just need to explain bitcoin is the same currency as fiat

You can teach them about saving without using bitcoin. Saving is so important to teach now to young people because we need to save money for the future so for individual we need to save small amount every week or every monthly.

Bitcoin's world is very much complex and I think it's not a good thing for them to engage in this kind of industry unless you will be guiding them all through out and monitor all their activities. As we all know that Bitcoin is a digital currency, they can earn without investing money so basically they can easily spend it on the way the wanted. Let us not forget that Gambling is also part of the Bitcoin world. With out proper monitoring or guidance, your cousin/s might do engage in gambling without you or his/her parents noticing it. In result, it can give a lot of negative outcome in the future.

The idea of Bitcoin helping kids to save is there. But, knowing that they are fond of spending and they don't care about losing money in this industry. Teaching one kid to save will took a lot process, and by engaging them in the digital currency world in which they don't hold an actual money they could easily waste it by doing such things.

PS: If you really wanted to teach your cousins how to save, then probably talk to the parents of this kids. This kind of issues is really not your problem though if you want to help then do tell it to their parents.
