Unfortunately no, that is a result of miners pool swapping. The fork aims to remedy this.

Alright we haven't had enough demand for pos, so it looks like we will simply be implementing dark gravity wave which will change block difficulty every block while using a running average to combat multipools. All other aspects of the coin will remain the same. Good news is that it is a small change so it shouldn't take very long.
Once we look ready with the fork we will announce a final block for the current blockchain and rent as much hashpower as necessary to get there. Any transactions past this specified block will not be carried into the fork, but it will be enough time/blocks to allow everyone to move their coins to where they want before the fork occurs. I am also emailing nova exchange about a swap. I'll let you know when they respond.

Though "This is a good time to buy" logged on and saw that others also thought it was a good time to buy - price more than double in last hour (my time).
Still a good time to buy so I'm waiting for my bitcoin to make it NovaExchange, hope it get there before it doubles in price again.

Sorry, what is pool swapping? I just started mining and don't want to accidentally do this thing. Should I wait untill after the fork to resume mining?

Thanks!

It is essentially where a group with a large amount of hashing power targets coins when they are at low difficulty and mines them quickly, then moves on to another coin to do the same thing. This leaves the normal 24/7 miners of the coin with much higher difficulty blocks to solve causing blockchain stall (which is what happened to us).

I bought some SOJ on Nova and sent it to my Web Wallet - it's not had any confirmations yet, but I guess this won't happen until the blockchain starts moving again ?

So others can join in, which pool are you putting hashpower towards?

I put around 100Mh on CoinMiners.net for about 30 hours (ending yesterday). Some else joined in with 300Mh or so if I remember correctly during that same period, and between the two of us that next block didn't budge....

Just went with Akaipools, its sitting at around 3Gs. And the block just moved!

Are you renting hash? If you signup to miningrigrentals (my favourite so far) use this link:
https://www.miningrigrentals.com/register?ref=37823

I get a commission and then can use more hash  Smiley

Yup, rented a rig from Mining Rig Rentals on a whim to get that block (6433) moving. Nice work getting it unstuck!
