According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

There has been a bit of a dip in the market this past few days - trouble in China - which has affected not only SOJ but most coins.
Quite a bit of chatter about it here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2057932.1360

Beta opens up tomorrow morning! We will share our results of the process with you as we get them.

Is beta for hotel booking site released already? It was supposed to be released yesterday right.

Looks like tradesatoshi has listed Sojourn. I was able to create new address. https://tradesatoshi.com/Exchange/?market=SOJ_BTC.
  • Is it safe to transfer coin to tradesatoshi wallet? Was wondering if it forked one or not
  • Also can dev ask to add new exchange on coinmarketcap ?

it was a scam. Lesson learned. I dropped a bit into this so I feel for everyone here but now you know. If it looks like a scam it probably is. I even commented how scammy the website looked and the moment i posted that it devalued like crazy. Dev is officially gone.

Let's give it a few days. You might be right but I find it hard to believe that he would go through all that trouble with the hard fork just to bail so soon after.

Oh well, if it turns out to be the case, as far as scams go it had a fair amount of work behind it.

I didn't lose anything except for potential profits by holding the bag of bounties. No biggie.

UPDATE: I was able to transfer some coin from nova to tradesatoshi and did some sample transactions. Looks like we can start trading there.

I've got a feeling he just got too fatigued with all the problems the project was facing. As it seemed, he was the only one working on it and building such a project would probably require a larger team.
And it wouldn't make any sense for him to dump his coins when the price is this low... For what 1btc?
Even though the explorer and the website are down...
One can still hope for the best Smiley

I think the Devs are working on the beta of the Sojourn booking system, this could be an explanation for the website offline. I had a mail from them yesterday, they are working on a solution to a problem I had with a bounty.

Hopefully this. All we can do is wait and see, the web wallet is off line so not much else I can do.

The desktop wallet is still connecting to the network, but it looks like this venture has failed - some say it was a scam.

Please.. the dumping that went on at novaexchange could only of been from the premine.

The hard fork was a lie for him to rack up as much as he could from you with his "secure" wallet. There were no miners that were dumping. It was him. He completely blindsided us and walked away with close to a quarter million USD in bitcoin.

I got some cheap SOJ at 150sats plus.  Wink lets see if this will bounce sooner.  Wink This coin needs to be in another exchange since nova is too quiet for a coin to be.
