Does any one thinks that Ethereum can survive with the rising of Waves? I've heard that "Waves will be the next Ethereum"
I never heard that waves will top ethereum or will be the next ethereum, but I know waves has a potential. Waves and Ethereum is comparable because they do many almost the same tasks. But there are times that you may say why waves? why ethereum?  Waves is designed for easy crowdfunding, it's pretty direct when it comes to token operations and fast transactions.  Ethereum has a feature that waves doesnt have like the smart contracts.

I don't think there is anything on a market that can beat Ethereum, I would not even compare the two.

Both have high potential, but Ethereum was the first one, so I expect it to be the bigger one. I like projects on Ethereum more.

Ethereum is far more promising compare to waves. Ethereumis versatile you can really create a lots of thing with check and balances on ethereum platfirm. Waves is like next facebook in myopiion it will definitely be popular with those that are not interested in anything more than copy and paste.

Waves is great but it can't be compared to ETH. The good thing about Waves is that it can process so many more transactions that ETH, it can process about 10x more transactions than ETH, but it's capabilities are limited when comparing ETH. Waves is basically a follower of ETH that tries to "serve" the idea of token creation and another way. Either way, it's a copy and not the original, this doesn't mean that the company has no future pontetial though. The development team is great and they are coming up with some nifty idea, improving their protocol and overal performance. But it will never reach the same level of utility of ETH.

Ethereum is any day better waves! Look at the amount of projects that had been built on Eth platform and you would know. Waves dex is quite troublesome and not user friendly!

I do not think any of the Waves team is concerned with overtaking Ethereum, not does it ever want to be competing with other platforms. That is actually one of my favorite things about Waves, they are simply focused on their platform and do not seem to give a hoot about the others being better than them.

Sure, they are comparable, but Ethereum is very corporate and high profile, Waves is still very rooted. Not saying they will not turn into a giant like ETH, but if they do, I hope they do not suffer the same hacks that are the big headache of ETH!

P.S. ETH has smart contracts actually,,,

all possibilities could happen in this coin investment business but for now it is still heavy to waves beat the popularity of ethereum but in the future if waves can be stable and benefit many people it could happen

Waves are now widely held by many people but ethereum is still an idol as altcoins choice so waves can not replace ethereum for the near future

Honestly it is hard to compare they have both qualities and fundamentals so i will rather say that it is good to have both so incase we wont missed it than to focus in ethereum or waves only. Waves will have new updates this month and for ethereum i think it will get back on track after this bitcoins fork.

waves have potential but it can not dethrone ETH.
ETH have big connections and proper PR and waves lack here.
it is true ETH is too strong to be replaced by waves even though now waves are held by many people because ETH have fans who have owned this coin for a long time

Waves and Ethereum perform identical functions, and both worthy of attention. Each technology has its users. Also today there are many different identical sites. However, the pioneer is Ethereum. With the introduction of new technologies Ethereum will become always a step ahead of everyone else.
Waves is pioneer in some technologies as well, it's just ethereum appeared first but it makes it more closed for introduction of new technologies. But waves on the other hand puts accent on new developments and possible future issue which ethereum has now. Example of technologies Waves already has:
LPOS (leased proof of stake)
Waves NG (implemented theoretical Bitcoin NG protocol into live!)

Waves will have smart contracts too. It's in their 2018 roadmap.

Waves - it will be great in 2018.
This.

If anybody is sad (like me) because they lost the opportunity with bitcoin and ethereum, don't lose it again with waves. It's one of the few big time cryptocurrencies which doesn't have a huge price and marketcap yet.

Ethereum is have more adoption rate than wave as of now I think. These days we are witnessing more airdrops token in Ethereum than wave. Around 90 % of them are in Eth.

Not now I think. For me, Ethereum is still next to bitcoin.
